SOURCE: Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Oxygen sensor needs to be

The sensor you indicate would be on the manifold of the head containing cyl.# 1, top sensor (prior to catalytic conv.) 6 cyl. engine. 4 cylinder would be sensor on exhaust manifold. Confirm sensor failure prior to replacing as chrysler harness connectors are known for pin failures at 02 sensor connections. Inspect for burnt pins and cracked/chaffed wires first before changing sensor.

How to locate and replace bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor in 2005 Chrysler Town and country

Sensor is behind engine and between engine and firewall, the spring on electrical cable should identify it. One recommend you go to you tube for removal and installation.

How many oxygen sensors are in bank 1 on 2012 chrysler town & country

If I remember correctly, you should have three sensors total. You will have an upstream bank 1 and an upstream bank 2 and then a downstream after the catalytic converter.

2003 Chrysler Town & Country po171 code

DTC P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.

Note: This DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.

I would suggest that you take a look at the front oxygen sensor. Typically speaking the oxygen sensor causes this code to appear. Here is the possible cause list from the manual for your car.

Trouble Code: P0171 (2.5L V6 Auto) - Fuel System Lean (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:
Air leaks in intake manifold, exhaust pipes or exhaust manifold
Base engine mechanical problem causing a lean A/F condition
Fuel control Sensor is out of calibration (e.g., ECT, IAT or MAP)
Fuel delivery component fault (clogged filter, low fuel pressure)
O2 element is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
Vacuum hose is disconnected, broken, leaking or loose

Hope this helps (remember to rating this answer ans leave us a testimonial comment). Thank you for using FixYa.

Picture of bank1 sensor1 o2 sensor location on 2001 chrysler town & country

I do not have a diagram but, bank 1 is the bank where #1 cylinder is at. other side would be bank #2. so bank #1 o2 sensor is just before convertor.

What mean code p0138 on 2005 town and country

P0138 is a high voltage output on bank 1 sensor 2 (bank 1 is the same side as #1 clyinder, sensor 2 is after convertor) I would check for a rich fuel/air mixture causing the cat to overload. Need replace it.

Hope this help (remember rated this post).

Where is the oxegen sensor located on a 2000 chrysler town and country 3.8 liter. does the oxegen sensor have a fuse

the oxygen sensor is located in the exhuast pipe, there could be more than one sensor, maybe 4 sensors on a 6 cylinder car and 2 sensors on a 4 cylinder car,so youre gonna have to know which one is bad,if the check engine light is on it will tell you which position sensor is bad like bank 1 sensor 2 something like that, also there is NO fuse for the o2 sensors
