SOURCE: where are the vacuum lines

under the hood , under the dash are the most obvious ones.
Open the hood and look around for small black hoses... they will ultimately lead to the intake of the engine (where vacuum is created)

My 2003 pontiac aztec wont start sometimes, if I let it set for awhile it does start

The first thing you need to do is check fuel pressure when it will not start and also check for computer control system fault codes.

How do the power steering hoses go on on a 2001 Pontiac Aztek and why is there no circular motion inside the pump

The only squared thing on the pump is the "plastic"
fluid tank... Everything else about the design & function
is "circular".

There is ABSOLUTELY circular "MOTION" inside the PUMP...
PLEASE NOTE... there is a giant pulley on the front..
and the design of the pump is all about rotational force of the hydraulic pump (right THROUGH the middle).

High pressure to the high pressure...
(with a possible cooler option in the middle)
Low pressure back to the reservoir

Where do you add refrigerant in my 2001 Pontiac Aztec

first find and fix the leak in the system or you will be wasting gas
gas is added via the suction line point at the compressor and is added until a set pressure is achieved in the system
really it works out to be cheaper to have an accredited ac specialist shop do the job

What car parts interchange with a 2002 Pontiac Aztec?

Aztec was derived from the line of GM minivans. Many mechanical parts are interchangeable with Pontiac Montana, Chevy Venture and Olds Silhouette of that vintage. Obviously the sheetmetal is, I would say, unique.

Where is the thermostat located on a 2003 pontiac aztec?

grab hold of the upper radiator hose, and follow it back to the engine block. The housing the hose is attatched is where the thermostat is hiding :)
