SOURCE: my pontiac came with size 15 tires and i was
Yes, just make sure you purchase a set of tires that keep the total diameter of the wheel/tire as close as possible to the OEM size. Otherwise your speedometer/odometer will be off, and you will adversely effect handling and fuel mileage.
SOURCE: the current tires on my car are 205 60 R 15 I
205/60r15 is actually a pretty common size. If you're looking for a less expensive size then go to www.tirerack.com and shop a few sizes up and down from that until you find a more common one. Maybe 215/65r15 or 205/70r15. On the back, do you mean that you have a 14" rim back there? If so then the thing you have to worry about most is the upset handling characteristics of the vehicle. It's not "bad" as much as it is "dangerous" really. You really should try to find a rim that matches.
I hope this helps
