I drive a 2012 vw polo trendline,my car doesnt have power, gear 1,2 and 3 makes a very haevy noise,whenever i approach a steephill the speed reduces to 80 and its starts after three to five attempts.

if it only revs when you put it in 5th gear then it is not in fifth gear. it may look like it but it is not. try moving the gear selector from fourth into neutral releasing the clutch fully then applying the clutch and initiating fifth gear. if that does not work try placing it into one of the other gears first without releasing the clutch and then selecting fifth.
you should be fine driving in four gears as long as you dont travel on the audobahn or at speeds like your on the audobahn. Just watch your redline. try not to go past it. i think it is actually better for your car to drive at higher revolutions than lower as it cleans out your combustion chamber of carbon. on the other hand it is ******* your engine to drive in the red line constantly.
but 3000 rpm in 4th gear probably has you driving 130km/hr (82mph) which should be sufficient and your redline probably does not start until somewhere between 4-5k

try disconecting the coolant temp sensor and then try, it may be faulty, also check the hall sender unit in the distributor, if it has one, the centre pin should be the signal wire if no pulse is present the sensor is faulty

it sounds like your clutch release bearing has or is colapsing.when you press the clutch the release bearing is under the most load hence the noise.gearbox out i,m afraid.Can you still get gears ok ?.Also the pedal box,s are prone to break on polo,s ,the symptom for that is like a squashy pedal and hard to get gears.if you can look up at the top of the clutch pedal where the cable mounts see if the bracket the cable fits in to is broken away at the top.

the most common problem is the anti roll bar .where the bushes clamp around the bar there is a piece of plastic that the bush clamps around,the plastic breaks and can fall out .or the bushes that you describe are also common as a cause of noise or broken front springs .it will be one of them for sure.cheers
