Do you ear the pump turning while you turn key? If so, probably air in the pipe. Turn key a few time to prime. If not, maybe you broke the connector on the sending unit or having a bad ground to the tank

SOURCE: 92 Dodge Dakota fuel pump

THATS 100% Right!!!!There pretty easy to change.Be careful removing top lies do to rust and various other problems.Dont bend them I'm sure you know the drill. As far as the filler neck try and loosen it at the tank which is probably where your leak is coming from. After you get clamp off there another tube thats inside there, the big filler hose for your venting while filling it up.Be sure not to wreck it>When you undo the hose you'll have to work a little bit getting it of but pull it all the way out so you dont damage the venting hose inside of the filler hose.Thats it.Good luck to you and remember take your time and it should work out great for ya.Thanks for asking...

easy ,take pipe off under the bonnet that feeds the injection system ,then run a wire direct from the battery to the live wire on the pump ,on top of the sender unit under the seat are two heavy wires and two light wires ,well teh heavy wires are the feed and the earth for the fuel pump ,wire will spark if you touch the earth one or the pump will run if you hit the feed wire ,simple

How to change fuel pump 1999 Saturn sl1

You need to drop your gas tank, first un clamp filler hose fro underneath, and vent hose. Undo the two gas tank straps and wiggle tank down around the exhaust system. Once on the ground you will see a small ring around the hoses going into the sending unit, being very careful to not get dirt in the tank. Sending unit should pop out . The fuel pump is bolted onto the sending unit. You un plug the 2 wires going to it and the bolts holding it on, and replace the opposite way good luck

How To Replace The Fuel Pump On A 1998 Chevy Blazer

To start, the fuel pump assembly is mounted in the gas tank. Jack up the truck and support with jackstands. From underneath you will need to disconnect the filler and overflow hoses from the tank, by removing the worm gear clamps holding the hoses to the metal filler tubes. Unbolt the two straps that are bolted to the underneath side of the body holding the gas tank to the underside of the truck, support the tank with jack, after the straps are undone, lower the gas tank some to get enough room to remove the fuel lines and the fuel pump/sending unit connector, also remove the small vacuum hose at the other end of the tank. Let the tank down, with a hammer and a screwdriver, turn the lock ring until it releases the pump assembly and remove. You may want to drain the gas from the gas tank, it always seems that the fuel pump goes out when you have alot of gas in the fuel tank, that will help when you go to put the fuel tank back into the truck. Reverse the procedure to install. Some Blazers have a plastic tank and some have a steel tank. You'll need to know which one when you go to buy the new one. They run about $250.00 at Auto Zone. I would also replace the fuel filter at this time also so you are starting out with everything fresh. Should take 2-4 hours to do the job. Have a few large gas cans to put the gas from the tank in.

When you replaced the tank, did you check or replace the tank filler neck hose or the vent hose? That is where the issue is.

What is the best way to take off a gas tank on a 91 jeep comanche to replace it, and also how do you get the fuel pump out of the gas tank?

Put the truck on service ramps or a lift. Pump out any fuel in the tank. Remove the plastic cover from the tank straps, 10mm socket. Unhook filler and vent hoses. Unhook fuel lines, electrical wires and vacuum lines at the T connector.
Support the tank with a jack and loosen the strap nuts with a 15 mm wrench, then lift the strap hooks out of the notch in the frame. Once loose, work the tank out. Dropping the drive shaft would make it easier.

How do you replace a fuel pump on 1994 jeep grand cherokee

Disconnect the battery, Jack the rear up on stable jack stands. use a smaller jack with a piece of wood to stable the load under the tank. You will see 2 band straps under the tank, remove the bolts, only 1 side have bolts, the other side swings down. The hose from the gas cap will have to be disconnected, which can be !!!!! when in-stalling. you can then drop the gas tank down easily with the jack just a bit, enough to reach around to unplug the fuel pump plug, and the gas lines. Once it's removed, the pump has a big screw on ring, take it off and the fuel pump can be pulled out.

Changing the gas tank on a 1993 jeep grand cherokee

Make sure you use lots of wd40 or other solvent on strap bolts. Use a flashlight not a droplight while working. Keep all open flame sources and sparks (even electric drills etc) away from work area.
make sure the tank is low on fuel...gasoline weighs over 7lbs per gallon! have something to put fuel in to drain tank further after removal. An empty tank is a bomb unless it is left open and allowed to vent out for a few days in a safe place outdoors. If you intend to re-use it, wash it out with soap and water then to store, dry it out, coat inside with oil. If transferring fuel pump, be careful not to bend float arm or gas gauge will not be accurate.
Other than that it's a big box with some straps holding it in. good luck

97 Grand Cheeroke wont start in the morning when its cold out

Is it fuel injected or carb??? Try holding the gas pedal to the floor while turning the jeep over. This sometimes makes gas pump thru to the cylinders. Have you changed the fuel filter???? I know alot of jeeps have a fule filter with a bypass back to the tank, and sometimes the filter will be bypassing to the tank instead of the the motor. Check it out?????

How to replace a jeep tj fuel tank?

I would be really careful with doing this repair as this is very dangerous. You need to relieve the fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse and starting the truck. Drain the tank with a siphon pump. Remove any exhaust or other parts that are in the way, loosen the straps and support the tank with a floor jack and a block of wood. There are several hoses, and a few wire connectors to disconnect and you may want to replace those hoses while you're down there. Once you put the new tank in, reconnect the electrical and hoses, raise the tank and strap it back up. Put anything else back together you took off the truck.
Personally, I would take this in to get fixed as this is dangerous work (I did mention that). I you do this anyway, use your head and buy a proper container to hold the gas in , as well as jackstands and a class "B" fire extinguisher. Disconnect the battery and don't smoke or use a drop light under the car, and I will not accept responsibility for this.
