2004 F150 5.4 IMRC. Had to cut the wire harness. Damn wire harness has 2 black wires with white tracers. (And 1 red wire, and 1 blue wire.) How do I determine to mate the black wires properly?

If you get a hold of Crutchfield, they should offer a interchange plug that will connect to your factory radio plug without having to cut the factory harness. It will also tell you what wires you need to connect where.

2010 Patriot won't start ,key work's , light's ,horn ,new starter and battery ! checked 30 amp fuse's starter ?????? Maybe you should take it to a qualified repair shop .Sounds like you have no clue.

Black = AC hot
Red = switched AC hot
Yellow = AC hot from a another source - another control panel as an example.
White = neutral
red w/white tracer = switched neutral
Green or green w/ yellow tracer = ground/earth ground
blue = DC voltage, ie, 12vdc, 24vdc
white w/blue tracer = dc common
Brown = AC 3 pahse - phase A
Orange = AC 3 pahse - phase B
Yellow = AC 3 Phase - phase C
shileds: think of current loops

clear or red = +
black = -(neg)
3 cond
red = power (24vdc typically for transducers)
clear = + (signal output)
black = - (signal common)
