SOURCE: right side axle shaft support bearing removal

Change the whole axle. You will waste TONS of time trying to change that bearing, and it is virtually impossible for a guy to do it without a real good machine shop. Trust me. Change the whole axle.

SOURCE: need to relace driver side cv shaft

U will need to disconnect the strut bolts to the steering hub, remove large nut off end of axle shaft at hub, also take the tie rod end off as well as brake caliper and rotor, then push the axle shaft back out of the hub and tie the hub away from the axle with wire, the axle then just snaps out of the trans, this will be very hard to do, you will have to pull the axle at a straight angle and try to pull in a quick outward snapping motion, it will take repeated attempts so don't get frustrated, take your time.

SOURCE: abs noise in 2001 Audi A6 2.7 T Quattro

It is common that ABS system do this from too much air gap to a wheel speed sensor. I would check the left front, since that is the side you had apart. Make sure the air gap is o.k and the reluctor wheel is the same size as the old one.

Have a ford explorer 2005 xlt having problem getting it to start, have change the fuel pump and fuel filter, also change the crank shaft sensor and the cam shaft sensor, still not starting can any...

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they just stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack is bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.
The clicking noise indicates the battery can no longer run the starter, which also means the fuel pump won't run either.

Have you hooked a scanner to the computer and checked the oxygen sensor(s)? If they are bad they could lean out the engine. The MAF Sensor can cause starting issues. Check the filter side of the MAF Sensor for any debris. I have found feathers, leaves, rags, etc. in them.

Remember an engine needs three things to work properly...Air / Fuel / Ignition(Spark)

How do i check the transmission fluid and change it in a 2005 chevy colbalt, and where does the speedometer cable connect into the transmission at?

There is no dipstick on this tranny (4T40E). On the passenger side of the tranny just beside the output axle seal, there is an 11mm 7/16" bolt head. With the vehicle running in park remove the bolt. If tranny fluid runs out it was over filled. On the top Drivers side of tranny, there is a red plastic cap (marked vent). Remove and add fluid here if low. Once the fluid runs out of bolt hole its at correct level. To do tranny fluid and filter change, loosen off all the pan bolts, drain. Filter is located under pan. Do not remove the bolt with engine off, it will lower the tranny fluid level. Fill with approximately 6.5 qts or lts. Start engine, remove bolt, let run out, when it quits its full. This doesn't change all 16qts ( the torque converter and valve body hold 8 or more), if you want complete change, get it flushed at a shop. It doesn't have a speedo cable anymore either. It has VSS's (vehicle speed sensors) in the tranny and also use wheel speed sensors in the ABS system to calculate speed for different systems. ABS, Cluster, Cruise control, Tranny shifting etc.

I would say very good possiblity to be the cv shaft or cv shafts but you might try a tune up first change out the spark plugs and spark plug wires if that hasn't been done in 30,000-40,000 miles. If you have the cv axle or axles changed you will have to have it realigned again.

Rear axle leaking

Block the front tires. Break the rear lugs loose. Jack up the rear of the truck at the center if possible. remove the wheels & brake drums. Remove the brake shoes, return springs & all the other hardware. Remove the differential cover & drain oil. If you have a posi the next step sucks. You need to remove the threaded pin from the housing & remove the axle retaining clips. All the while, being carefull of the spring in the posi unit. If no posi, then same procedure, minus the "pucker factor". After the axle is out, take a large flat blade screw driver or pry bar & pop the seal out. Keep in mind the axle bearing is probably gone too , so that's another procedure. Keep it apart, you'll be glad you did.
