Which engine do you have?
If you have the 2.4L engine its located on the passenger side under the exhaust manifold but if you have either the 3.3 or the 3.8 it on the driversidr next to the oil filter.

HAS TWO KNOCK SENSORS they are both under intake in valley of engine. remove intake and will see two black grommets they are under those best to replace both at same time

3.3 engines has the egr valve with transducer.you have to replace the whole unit. code p0406 what its trying to tell you your egr valve circuit is short to ground.it has failed .

The knock sensor should be on each side of the engine block. These are single wire connectors and require no special tools or tricks. Simply unscrew and install.
