SOURCE: 2004 olds alero

Unfortunately this happens with Aleros. I have a 2004 olds alero and this happens to me quite frequently. Its a defect with the passlock security system. When it doesn't start, it thinks someone is trying to steal your car and doesn't allow the car to start. I have paid over $500 to repair this problem with no avail. I have paid to replace the entire system, but continue to have the problem. All you have to do each time this occurs is to leave the key in the "ON" position with the engine off (obviously as it wont start) for 10 MINUTES. The security light will flash during this time. When the security light stops flashing and remains constant, take out the key and start the car. This will work. Unfortunately you have to do this EVERY time, which is a pain the rear. I live in the desert and when this happens to me in 120 degree weather, its not fun!

Sorry. I'm never buying and Olds again!

SOURCE: I am changing the front brakes pads and on a 2004 3500 series gmc

Not really, some basic tools, metric sockets and wrenches, screw drivers and a 6" C clamp to compress the caliper piston.
The most important thing to remember is to make certain the caliper pins are clean and greased when you reassemble. If you are replacing components such as rotors or calipers, make sure you replace the parts in pairs. Make sure no grease or contaminants are on the rotors or brake pads.
Good luck.
You can go to www.autozone.com to get detailed instructions for replacing your pads.

How do I start 1997 chevy express 3500 with the wires?

You can't. It has an anti-theft device. The days of boosting a car with a couple of wires ended in the 1980s! You have to fix the problem, not find a way around it.

Drove Yukon yesterday. Today, no keyless entry, locks, power windows don't work, won't start or turn over. No electrical at all.

You battery is dead. Find another car that has a charged battery and jumper cables. Refer to your owners manual to find out how to jump your vehical.

When you're idling or driving, there are short surges in power when the car just seems to take off. As you keep driving, it loses power to where you can only go 10 to 20 miles per hour. The next day we...

I would first check the fuel filter to see if it is clogged. If that is good, test the fuel pump to see if it is working properly. Next check the fuel injectors are not clogged.
