Remove the oil filler cap, start the engine, do the valves go up and down ? If yes, maybe the timing belt jumped a tooth or did you check for spark at the spark plug ?

Have a 2000 GMC Yukon Denali. Won't fire.

Make sure that the belt isn't extremely tight and they the belt tensioner isn't liked up by pulling in the belt. It should move and spring right back. Make sure engine isn't locked up. And please explain what happen with the vehicle. The fact that you replace plugs and wires and fuel filter for a car that's not turning is throwing me off. So right now we are going all over the place. But definite look at belt and tensioner I've seen a few times that a bad tensioner will make the belt wrap around tighter inhibiting the engine from turning.

1991 dodge dackota got no fire no gas just turns over

what about the fuel filter? its usually located under the brake booster where you put the brake fluid in its either under or around that erea somtimes the fuel filter will be clogged also check to see if its getting spark usually you can take the plug out they have a tester for this that you can buy at autozone or checkers or oriellys auto parts store and make sure your getting spark if not it could be bad distributor or cap and rotor check the cap to make sure all the points are there should be 4 or 6 make sure not broken also check the rotar for breakage or rust if its good and is getting spark possible fuel problem with the filter plugged up or possible fuel rail plugged or if you just recently tuned up maybe you have the wrong fireing order need to get a diagram of the spark plug wires if this is all good possible timing belt broke check to make sure the timing belt is good probably do this first so you dont ruin the engine if it is broke

do you have compression on every cylinder? that may be your problem, that's the suggestion i'll make. pull each spark plug one at a time and do a compression check to make sure you have compression. if you don't have the tool, they are not that expensive to purchase. hope this helps you out!! although, if you do this test and it's good compression, i would lean more towards it could be out of time. meaning it could possibly have jumped time but you said the belt was good, it could have jumped a tooth or two which would mean a no start also.

1991 no start.but have fuel and fire..

Your ignition switch is good if you are getting spark to the plugs. You need to find out why your not getting fuel through the injecters.Check your relays again . Do not crank engine over ,but turn key on and off 10 times to charge the fuel lines. But I think you need to check your wireing and get your instrument cluster working first.

No fire

check cold start injector relay and injector. are u sure that fuel pump is good? can u hear it come on when key is turn to on ? it should come on for about a second if yes check for fuel from injectors , pull one injector put from head point into glass jar remove rubber boot from air flow sensor assembly, pull fuel pump relay and install jumper so fuel pump contiously runs then using a magnet pull up on air flow sensor fuel should be coming out of injector in a cone shape.

My 1991 honda civic runs fine yesturday and today it wont start please help

the car wont start? do you mean the engine wont turn over or it wont fire or run? if the car does not run but it turn over, check the basic..see if you have sparks and fuel, then check all your fuse pertaining to engine and ignition. the car need to have both thing in order for the engine to run. If you getting both sparks and fuel you engine may have jump time especially with older car with high miles, it the sign timing belt getting worn, you don't want it to break. if you don't get fire from spark plug then you may have a bad coil, distubutor, rotor or timing sensor. if you get no fuel, fuse blown, bad fuel pump relay or fuel pump it self. hope that help some ..good luck

If you're car has been running fine, then suddenly won't start, the cause is frequently that the fuel pump cutoff has been tripped. Open your trunk, and look for a label for a fuel pump cutoff switch. Locate the switch, press it in, and see if the engine will start.

Gets gas and spark still won't start

Sounds like this maybe a timing belt has slipped (no Compression) if the engine seems to turn over faster than normal you should or the engine is not getting fuel you can use brake parts cleaner spary in intake and see if it fires up if it does the engine is not getting fuel - possible fuel pump
