If it was cracked it would probably still crank. Far more likely that it's seized from overheating.

SOURCE: dryer starts drying and thinks clothes are dry, but they aren't

Check the timer, and the sensor. Sounds like it is having a problem with the timer or sensor no noticing that the clothes are still wet. Please rate if satisfied. Thank you

2012 dodge ram 1500 cranks but won't start. Acted like it wanted to a couple times. Has been doing this the past couple days but was eventually starting. Now it just cranks but won't turn over

After cranking over for a bit, pull a spark plug and see is it dry or wet. If it's dry, the computer isn't placing it into cold start mode to fire it up. Pour some raw gas on the air filter element and make it wet, put the breather cover back on, and crank it over. It will fire up. That means the water temperature sending unit/sensor s faulty and not sending a message to the computer. This is a very likely scenario. I wet my Toyota air filter with a pint of has, put the cover back on to seal it, and it fired right up and ran till he filter..........."ran out of gas".

My 2008 avenger 2.4 liter is over heating after changing both thermostats and the heater is blowing cold air and making it over heat more...

While it's cool aka before a cold start. Open the radiator cap and see if the radiator is flowing water through it. If not then your radiator is clogged... And of course if its dry a least add water and if possible add fresh coolant

1998 toyta tacoma wont start

I know this is too late but, you should never pressure wash an engine without waterproofing all of your electrics. The pressure washer pushes water into places it isn't meant to go. You will need to find where the water has gone, and dry it out. You may be lucky and be able to save your ECU or electric start kit by drying it out properly.

Car turns over but does not start. Battery good

If it over heated, could have bad head gasket's, fill radiator with water, crank engine with radiator cap off, if water is push out of radiator while cranking, bad head gaskets', also remove spark plug's, crank engine if any water, bad head gasket, also when spark plug's removed, check for any water on them.If there is any water on plug's, bad head gasket, also could try doing a cylinder compression test, if bad compression, head gasket, no compression, wont start that way.

Wont start now water leaks steadt stream

It is a very bad idea to put cold water in a over heated engine. If you must first start the car and add the water slowly. This will allow the water to mix in with the hot water and not shock the block. But the best thing to do is let the engine cool before adding water. If you add cold water to a hot engine with the engine off and than start it the cold water will pass into the block and could cause the iron to contact unevenly and crack. Good luck.
