SOURCE: Scania r420(2007) white smoke problam
So little information given hard to know what you mean, but I will guess you mean white smoke from the exhaust. Usually, this is coolant getting to combustion chambers, so bad head gasket, cracked head or block. You can use a pressure tester on the cooling system to try to locate where the leak is. Pull all spark plugs and look for coolant getting into cylinder.
This is a problem with the clutch not fully releasing the force is coming the engine .Shift it with the engine off it will work better .
What you have here is a bad slave cylinder .
The master cylinder for the clutch is the one on the pedal the slave pushes the springs on the pressure plate in to release the pressure at the traffic light on pressure .
The problem with yours is the slave is stuck in the middle never full on or off .A clutch is like a light switch its on or its off .
You likely will have to remove the transmission to replace this part it sounds like its a concentric location inside the bell hoseing
Just replace the hall sensor or check that wiring
in early model trucks you had to use the clutch to change gears
later models us an electric control clutch as the computer changes gears if the driver is too tired or lazy to do so
the fault indicates that the electric component that operates the clutch needs repair and the message is to manually use the clutch pedal or gear damage will result
