I DON'T KNOW. I FOUND SUGGESTION TO REDUCE ALL TIRES TO 20 POUNDS THEN INFLATE ALL TO SEE IF FAULT CANCELS. DEALER WANTED $70 TO USE HIS METER TO FIND MINE. I DON'T HAVE AN AIR COMPRESSOR HANDY TO TRY THE AIR OUT/IN.
IF YOU ARE THRIFTY, MAKE SURE YOUR TIRES HOLD AIR AND PUT A BIT OF TAPE OVER THE FLASHING LIGHT. ASK TIRE REPAIR SHOP FOR COST TO REPLACE FAILED SENDING UNIT. PERHAPS WAIT UNTILL YOU NEED NEW TIRES.

Keep taking it back to the dealer until the fix it or give you a new car. Not that it's an immediate safety issue, it's just something that's supposed to be functioning properly. They have to address it because cars are legally required to have TPMS systems for safety. If a safety mehanism fails in your car, you can claim it is a safety issue. If you keep having problems with the TPMS light, you'll eventually ignore it. Then one day you'll have a tire going flat and you wouldn't know it.

The TPMS is a pain in the you know what. Have you changed tire sizes? There could be a bad sensor and may need replaced. We continually get problems all the time with the TPMS. We have reset then they reset again.

SOURCE: TPMS light is on after tire change

you have tire pressure sensor that id's each tires pressure. After rotating or changing tire it must be reset to "see" pressure of each tire. Your user manual should have the proceedure. Each manufacturer is different.

TMPS = Tires Monitoring Pressure System.
If you have been changed all tires of the car you must programm again all four tires TMPS sensors. This is the reason for TMPS warning symbol lightning on the dashboard.

I have 2009 Pontiac G6 GT should I have my traction control on or off and how can I tell if it's off Or on. This is what shows on my dashboard

The little U shaped light with the exclamation point inside (cross section of a tire) it the warning light for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). It means one or more of the sensors has detected low pressure in your tire(s).

2008 Lexus ES 350 low tire pressure warning light

1) go to a gas station with an air pump. Unless u have an inflator/compressor at home with the tireattachment

2) lower all 5 air pressures including the spare in the trunk to maybe about 28 PSI

3) now reset the TPMS (on the 07 there is a button to "calibrate" the TPMS and it is located under the dash. I presume it is the same on the 08.)

4) now bring the pressue back up to 30/32 or whatever it says on the door area

If this doesn't work, it is possible u have a defective TPMS
but my bet right now would be that someone "calibrated" the TPMS to the current tire pressure so the light is constantly on. It happened to me before when my daughter was messing around and hit that button.

Tpm reset 2008 isuzu i290

it resets every time you key on.
the Tire pressure monitoring system. TPMS.
on good cars, the system tells you exactly what is wrong.(dash)
EG, my jeep shows, R/F tire bad. so replace that sensor
or if tad older car,? i must use my scan tool to see which sensor is failing, on mine even the spare must work.....

so if no scan tool and a "intellectually challenged")ECU.(PCM) per above....
then what to do, tool-less? (no scanner tool for pcm no scan for TPMS)
you go to any tire shop in town, and say, scan my tires.
we have this scanner and wave it over the stems.
omg one is dead.
or one reads wrong fibs.
or other errors.... (over temp, serial wrong, etc)
it's just a battery powered sensor. on each rim stem.

that be about it....

I have TPMS on 2009 Nissan Maxima. Can't find where I can check my tire pressure through the TPMS. Manual says I can but I can't find where to. PLEASE HELP!!!

just get a tire pressure gauge and check it they are usually going off in cold weather like this. on the drivers side door it will tell you what pressure you need.

also if the light is blinkin when you start your car then goes solid you have a tpms sensor issue that needs to be addressed by a dealer because it lost connection.
