it would not be an O2 sensor, period, they would never cause a high idle, have u had this checked for trouble codes? A sticking idle speed control air bypass can cause this problem as well as a throttle position sensor, but run the codes, Kragen does it for free was well as other parts stores.
You could have a dirty Fuel Filter, try changing that first since it's the easiest and cheapest to do. You'll find the filter i believe on the inside if the frame under the drivers area. The only other thing i can think of is a fuel Pump going bad and not producing enough fuel pressure.
Best thing, start with the fuel filter and get the truck scanned for any DTC codes.

I would check for a vaccum leak if there is not then you might suspect the idle air control or the mass air flow, is there a check engine light on
