Is it just idling roughly or hesitate when accelerating? You may have a clogged cold start injector in which you could have poor performance before the vehicle heats up to its operating temp but once it reaches its peak temp will run fine. Did your servicing include a tune up and/or fuel system cleaning if not I would recommend one.

i have the same problem with my bmw 3161 SE 2001 plate i was having a number of problems including this one and some with the water system i have replaced so far water pump a few months back then 4 days ago replaced a oxygen breather and the breather hose and a crank sensor, then the next day had to replace the radiator and the thermostat due to the radiator blowing, the water system seams to be fine at the moment but the loss of power is still there in the morning the car has any power what so ever and doesnt like going past 2000 revs after a little driving it starts to judder past 200 up to arround the 4000 mark but then gets stuck arround there anyone have any ideas?

Car sputters when engine is cold and fine when warm

If your vehicle has a carburetor, I'd say you've got a problem with your choke, specifically your cold/curb idle dashpot. What is your fuel system, "air mixture problems" sounds like a carburetor to me.

The car starts once in a while but most of the time when i try to start but starter motor is fine

pull the starter motor to have the solenoid checked for bad contacts . Have the armature checked for a dry joint in the bar windings.

I am having overheating problems with my BMW 316i...The heating in the car has now been working for some time now but about 4 days ago...the car started to overheat...within minutes of starting the car...

well this depends on what engine you have, i have a 316i e46 and has a 1.9ltr engine, if that is the same it might be the engine thermostat has stuck and need replacing, thats the good news, the bad news is it could be your head gasket, 1.8ltr engines were prone to blowing the head gasket, look in the rad water bottle to see if there is any oil residue in there, and also take off the oil filler cap to see if its a creamy colour thats your worse senario, but its proberbly just the engine thermostat
