Location of the IAT sensor 04 f150 heritage 4.2 l

This is the 2001-2012 Toyota Tacoma wiring diagram, Toyota Tacoma IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor Location and the Toyota Tacoma MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Location, also included is a pinout of the sensor. You are likely installing a performance chip or a cold air intake kit for increased HP (Horsepower). You will want to be sure to disconnect the car battery before adding performance products.

If you mean IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor it is located in the engine air intake tubing just after the air cleaner.

For Hyundai Car 1999-05 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Location (check several options):

1.- The IAT sensor is located against the firewall to the left side of the engine. It is combined with the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.

2.- This sensor is located in the air intake plenum assembly. On some vehicles this sensor is combined with the MAP/MAF sensor.

3.- The IAT sensor is located in the air plenum assembly. On some vehicles it is combined with the MAF sensor.

4.- This sensor is located in the air intake plenum assembly. On some vehicles this sensor is combined with the MAP/MAF sensor.

5.- This sensor is located in the air intake plenum assembly. It is combined with the Manifold Absolute Pressure (AFS) sensor.

6.- This sensor is located in the air intake plenum assembly. It is combined with the Manifold Absolute Pressure (AFS) sensor.

iat sensor ????

The MAFS and IAT are in a single connector on the 04-08 MY F-150s.
This is for a new body style 2004, not the Heritage / Lightning models.

The IAT sensor is the Gray w/ Red stripe & Gray wire pairs in the connector. The connector is a 6 pin ( 1 row of 6 pins ) black connector.

2004 Heritage & Lightning ( guess this is your config, with posted in 2003 section ).

Looking at the engine, the air filter housing is the large round tube on the right hand side ( driver's side or left when reading descriptions )
The IAT is in the pleated section of the intake ( factory intake ) to the left of the air filter, about where the power steering fluid reservoir is at ( it should be pointing towards the back of the truck ).
Small black connector with a plastic wire loom on it.

2004 Non heritage ( New Body Style ) :
It is on the side of the large housing that holds the air filter ( on the stock intake, not a FIPK kit from K&N or the likes ).

Looking at the engine, the air filter housing and tray are on the top ( 2 latches hold the air filter tray in ), on the right hand side just behind the top of the T shape ( looking down on it ).

The connector should be black with a trace of red on it.

the IAT is a small round sensor with 2 wire going to it, the sensor is located in the air filter housing lid or in the flexible air intake hose to the engine from the air cleaner box.
