Do you hear the pump run when the truck is not starting?
The pump should be running when you have oil pressure and also should run for a few seconds when you first turn the key to run position.Check this.
If you hear the pump running and still no starting, use a good scan tool to get direction to the problem.
DO NOT change parts until you can verify the problem and THEN change only the part that is defective and proven defective.
SOURCE: Ford Escort 1998 fuel pump not working.
good old ford lol, try looking at the crank sensor its located at the front of the engine tucked in right hand side of exhaust manifold and gearbox, two pin plug, i have also known these to have no end of faults with the fusebox.
easy to remove, and solder the connections inside they all suffer eventually, if your not to handy with cars i recommend taking to a auto electrician, easy if you know how. Good luck Davelee
SOURCE: 1997 Gmc yukon fuel relay switch continues to burn out
I would have to check the fuel pump with a scope to look at the pattern and check the amps it is drawing . the grounds need to be checked and the pcm checked and reflashed. on the fuel system that would affect the fuel pump and relay to where it would burn it out is grounds , pcm , fuel pump , fuel pump relay. so you should convince them to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump relay under warranty and replace the pcm . and get a diagram and check all grounds. If the pcm is damaged and the current has been affected and instead of say a 5 volt or 2 volt signal it now has a 13.5 volt signal or if a ground is out then the temp of the relay will keep rising non energized a relay is about 99 energized it is around 140 you can check to see how hot that relay is getting. and if i remember correctly you want the pcm drivers checked.

Certainly possible.Key on /engine off cycles the pump for 3 secs.In a quiet place like an enclosed garage you can hear these pumps running and at this stage it might sound abnormal, louder and squeel-ish in a sense. Then can be verified by taking fuel pressure readings with a test gauge...good luck
