01 dodge Durango heat isn't blowing hot air

Check hoses to heater core to make sure BOTH are getting hot. If yes, bad blend air door or actuator likely. If no, back flush heater core or replace.

1998 dodge durango heat works fine just barely any air blows out vents Fan seems to run fine and at all speeds

could be the vent door actuator not opening all the way . under the dash there is the blend door actuator and the vent actuator that are controlled by vacuum

2000 dodge durango

I assume this truck has daul zone heating and a/c, the air blows but is not hot? if this is the case then you may have dissconnected the blend door actuator or it just went bad. this is common that the actuator goes bad,
there are two seperate actuators that control the hot/cold door in the heater box this way the passenger and driver can set there on temp.
the actuator for the drivers side is locted on the drivers side under the dash on heater box, the blower is on the passenger side , you can check connections but i do not think it is that but rather the actuator.

How do I get to the rear blend door in my 2004 Durango?

Hi Denny, The blend flaps are usually incorporated into the main climate control system. This is not an easy job for a novice because very often you will need to dismantle the instrument panel and dash board to get to the controls. Let me know if you want to go ahead and we'll see where we get to together? Regards John

I have no heat in my 1998 dodge durango it blows cold air i change threm and flush

The problem that has caused this cold air only issue is the Air Temerture Control Blend Door Actuator Motor, this motor is on the ouside of the air duct about center of the dash, in order to access and replace it u must remove the entire dash assembly.

My durango does not heat up fast enough

Ok then the problem is the air temp control blend door actuator inside the dash. This is a very common complaint on all models since they went to an electric motor operated blend door from the old vacuum motor design.
