Pull your bulbs and use either a test light or voltmeter to determine whether you have power at the sockets. You should see about 12.4. You could have a wiring issue. Also check the tail light fuses

Also make sure you have good grounds at the sockets .

I would guess the brake fuse ( this does not use the same fuse as the tail lights/blinkers) or the ground for the brake light bulb.

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.

SOURCE: 03 Ram 1500 E-Brake light flashing

its possible the switch on the e/brake unit broke, take a flashlight and locate a single/double wire that goes to the e/brake assembly (this is the piece you depress with your left foot) and look to see if the wire is broken or the switch the wire goes to is broken.

My brake lights not working on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 everything else works except for the brake lights Yvonne the third brake works can't seem to find the problem the fuses are all good

can't seem to find the problem ???? That's understandable , if you don't know the proper way to test automotive electrical problems . Viewing wiring diagrams an using a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter to test the electrical circuit is the correct way to diagnose . The third brake light works or not ? Is this what your saying ? But left an right sides don't ? Looking at the wiring diagrams I see the brake lights ,right an left or turned on by the Integrated power module (computer) Check for codes would be the first step. Not a code reader , no auto party stores , you need to have a qualified repair shop with a professional scan tool check it .

Gauge lights

ABS and Brake warning lights intermittent may be caused by a failing wheel speed sensor(ABS Sensor) and /or its connector. You may have one on each wheel hub(4WD) or if 2WD, a sensor may be on the rear axle differential center.

2001 dodge ram 1500. Brake lights do not work.

Do the taillights work? If so it might just be the bulb. If not then the wiring is broke some where or loose.

2003 dodge ram lights work on trailer but brake lights

try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. They have very good concise information that might help. Check wiring at each light. You can use the emergency flashers and a 12 volt test light to do this.
Make sure each light is grounded well. A loose ground will cause all sorts of problems. Hope this helps. Mike
