I have a 2004 GMC Envoy XL SLT with a vortec v8 5.3L and everything I look up on it is for the Denali version when it comes to my engine and I'm trying to figure out how to replace the pvc valve. I have a pvc valve but it looks like it's built in and I don't know how to replace that.
Austin, it's on the back of the valve cover straight back from the alternator to the firewall , no you don't have to remove the valve cover. I looked up the part too, definitely a standard push in pcv valve. I had to look that up, I know the 4.2 engine does not have the valve portion of the pcv system.
I know few
error codes/ fault codes, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, torque specs, engine fo, switches functioning, assemble, disassembly, complete refurbish, repair, installation every single thing is covered

There are 2 fuse panels in the Denali.
One is a panel on the drivers side, its on the dash but facing the door.
The ohter is under the dash and above the pedals, this one is much tougher to access.
Your Owner's Manual should tell you where the fuses are that you need to access.

check to see if the starter itself is getting a signal to crank. youll need to use a test light and have someone else try to start the vehicle, while you probe the wire to the starter to see if it is getting power. if not, check the starter fuse to make sure its not blown, as well as the starter relay to make sure that is good too (very common on gm's for bad relays) if the fuse and relay are good, but your not getting signal, it is an ignition switch problem.

SOURCE: replace valve cover gaskets on subaru svx
the truth about thse engines is they are hard to work on. if the valve covers are unbolted and still ****, try getting a rectangular peice of wood and putting it on the side of the cover neer the gasget, tap on the other end with a hammmer from all angles to try to break the seal.
this is a common problem with valve covers that havent ever been removed and they heat up, and cool down so many times they practically bake onto the head
