1998gmc 4.31500 wont start fuel pressure 60psi spark is good will crank with gas in throtlebody no codes

use a scanner to help you identify the problem. You have identified the fuel injection system as being the problem by introducing has into intake during cranking. The fuel injection is signaled by the crank and cam position sensors. check for dirty or loose connections at these sensors.

Plug the computer on to the port located under the dash on the drivers side to get a code reading. It sounds like a 02 sensor about to go bad. If you get a 700 area code, its a transmission sensor code.

My problem is my truck is blowing black smoke out the tail pipe and i dont know why i changed 3 ot sensors and a map air flow it is still doing it?

have you checked the coolant temp sensor? not the sensor for the gauge . the coolant temp sensor for the fuel injection. this sensor when cold tells your fuel injection system to add more fuel. in other words it acts like a choke in a carb. when this sensor goes bad it can send a signal constantly telling your computer the motor is cold therefor it needs alot more fuel than it realy does. also that sensor is tied into the 02,s. hope this helps.

I have a 2000 Triton 2.8 diesel mk 4wd regularly serviced that blows black smoke constantly under power & uses excessive fuel

does your regular service includes the injection pump being brought down for cleaning and maintenance?

it is an injection pump problem. inside the injection pump are valves and strainers that are not accessible for regular users. they could only be cleaned or replaced by these people who work with injection pumps and they would calibrate the injectors also so that it would not be blowing black gas and uses excessive fuel.

tnx 4 using fixya,
