Passenger side front of engine large black box contains ECM & TCM
when you remove the cover the ECM is made by Bosch it's Towards the outside of the vehicle.
TCM is made by TEMEC it's on the inside toward the center of the vehicle

I m having with my volvo s60 2.0T 2011 transmission control module issue

If you are technically minded buy a bluetooth OBD2 plug and download Torque Pro Android app. This will allow you to reset the codes yourself and ensure there is a genuine fault and not an intermittent issue. Cost was around $30AUS.

P0700 code for a 04 volvo s60

Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include:
1. Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination
2. The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc.

Causes: More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely).

Possible Solutions: For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission. If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself.

Volvo P0717 Input Speed Sensor

The P0700 is not a true fault code, it just means that the powertrain control module has requested the Transmission control module to turn on the check engine light to alert you of a fault. The P0717 is the one you need diagnosed, it is the real problem,.

Tune up

At 60K...its recommended that the fuel filter be changed, engine air filter, brake fluid, pollen filter and possibly a transmission flush as well as a TCM upgrade. The TCM upgrade will help in the shifting quality and give it a much smoother ride.

There is some speculation as to when to change the spark plugs. Some places say every 90K, some say 60K, and some say it doesn't hurt to simply pull a few plugs out and check them.
