How do you reset a ECU in a 2004 2.5 Nissan Altima

  • anukin3s
    anukin3s Feb 20, 2019

disconnect both battery power cables , connect them together and use a jump wire to ground them ( they must ground up to drain the ECU micro capacitors and become data free ECU ) , 15 minutes later , connect battery power cables to battery, start the car and let it Idle for 5 minutes , then drive it normally for at least 10 minutes, this will allow the ECU to relearn your entire car operations.

Unhook the cars battery. Let it sit for 15 minutes unhooked. You can remove the positive or negative battery cable.

Lastyear i wreck my 2005 nissan altima, i still have the keyless remote part but not the ignition key, now i have a 2004 nissan altima but no remote are they compatible

Call Nissan they have to program your old keyless remote to your new cars ECU. Unless your a computer wiz you can do so research and get the program to do it yourself. Call Nissan first.
