See if it does the same thing when you turn on the A/C. If so the compressor is overloading the electrical circuit when it engages (yes the ac engages in defrost mode) and causing the engine to stall. You may be able to temporarily disconnect the ac compressor until you can have it repaired.

Platinum (or more precisely-AC Delo Iridium) spark plugs. The six spark plugs are directly under each of the six coils on top of the camshaft cover. The air intake needs to be removed, then each of the 10mm bolts for the individual coils. The coils can then be removed and the spark plugs accessed.

Try replacing the fuel filter first, but it sounds like your loosing your fuel pressure prim when the fuel pump is not working. The fuel pressure should be 62-65 PSI with the engine not running the the ignition key turned on and should drop about 5 psi when the engine is running. If you turn the engine off and check the fuel pressure, it stat steady for morn then 15min. If it drops fast, then you have a leak at your fuel pressure regulator (common) or your return fuel check valve which is located at your fuel sending unit.
Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter, it could just be to dirty to pressurize the fuel system fast enough giving you the hard start.

Hello. the most common reason for this is a dirty throttle body. try cleaning the throttle body out with some throttle body cleaner

Try re-calibrating actuators, there's TUBE videos on how. I want to address the bad idle when defrost is on. You probably disconnected the battery, which is what caused this. Remove your throttle body and clean it with fuses #10 and #28 removed under the hood. That will fix the dying when AC or Defrost is on.

2005 chevy trailblazer ac won't work but defrost does while driving only

Hi. There happens to be a common problem with these trailblazers inside the ducting box located under the dashboard. The mode actuator door motor stops working due to a faulty motor itself and the default position is defrost only. As far as the Air Conditioning not working, there maybe another problem to diagnose there. Could be low refrigerant, or electrical problems to the compressor, or faulty fan clutch(another very common problem with these trucks). Type in mode actuator door and 2005 trailblazer in your search engine online i.e. Google or Yahoo and you will find many posts about this problem. I think there may even be a Youtube video about replacing it. Let me know you need more help. Thanks.

I have 2002 chevrolet trailblazer everytime i turn the heat on the RPM go down and it will try to die on me.Does anyone know what this could be?

If the heater is in defrost mode that means the A/C compressor is turning on and off. The other thing cold be a vacum leak to the heater control system. If this just started listen for leaking vacum.Best place to start is the engine compartment ,close to the firewall...Hope that helps

I replaced my thermostat,sensor and radiator fluid and now when i turn the heat selector to the defroster the engine dies out and also the engine service light came back on?

You say the engine service light cam back on. Was it on before? Did you have the computer scanned to find out what the light was for? Changing the thermostat and coolant wouldn't have anything to do with the engine dying. What sensor did you replace. When you turn on the defroster, the air conditioner also comes on. Engine idle speed is supposed to increase when the a/c is on so the engine wont stall. If the computer is not increasing the idle speed,that may be the reason the engine is stalling. Need to get those trouble codes.

My 2005 trailblazer just dies how do i fix it

If it dies when stopped and/or when AC is turned on, it's time to clean the throttle body, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean.

Engine dies when you turn fan on in one of the defrost positions, no problem when fan is turned on in one of the heat settings. What would cause this ? and can it be corrected ?

Defrost also work's a/c compr. could be a/c compr putting to much load on engine, make sure engine is running on all cylinder's, also have a/c compr check with a/c gauges.
