Generally on GM vehicles you can reset the change oil light by turning the ignition to the 'ON' position and fully depressing and releasing the accelerator pedal to the floor 3 times within five seconds. If successful "oil life reset" message will appear. If this doesn't work your vehicle may be equipped with 'DIC', if so refer to the "engine oil life system" in the index of your owners manual.

Oil warning light came on while driving home, then started flickering on / off for rest of journey 2mls. changed oil filter and oil used recomended Mobil 0 / 30. oil light went out on starting but would...

Oil light at idle is a sign of wear. If it only happens at low revs and this is an old car, I wouldn't fix it unless it got worse. If it's a newer car, get a new oil pump.

Light comes on after oil change intermittently

there is no reset for low oil pressure, have this checked by a shop ASAP, if the engine is really getting low oil pressure the result will be a burned out engine very quickly, the other thing that was reset was the "Oil Change" lite whic is rest, please have a shop look at this right away

Change oil light comes on ans stays on shortly after turning the car on. Then it turns off after a minute or so. Oil was changed very recently and don't know what's up?

This light needs to be reset when the oil is changed. To reset, do the following:
1. turn key to 'run' position with engine OFF
2.fully press and release the gas pedal 3 times in 5 seconds or less
3.light should now flash, which means it is reset. Light will go off in 30 seconds, or when key is turned off.
