Question about Hyundai Cars & Trucks

2 Answers

I own a 2016 Tuscon. It has started to warm warm up when driving intermittently. Sometimes it is fine, other times the gauge stays on cold. When it does warm up it never passes the normal range. What could this be?

Most likely your fuel pump is about to go out. When the truck wont start listen around the fuel tank and see if you hear the fuel pump running ( will sound like a small electric motor). If you do not hear it hit the bottom of the tank with your hand and see if it starts running. These go out a lot. FYI If you have to change it yourself it is easier to pick up the bed instead of dropping the fuel tank. Hope this helps.

Check to make sure the ground lead-off wire to the fenderwell has not come loose or corroded. Also make sure you have a good engine to fierwall ground, this is the flat braided uncoated piece of connector running from the firewall usually to an intake manifold bolt. Thanks, Dana.
