Does the temperature gauge show hot when you are driving? If your thermostat was stuck open, then your vehicle would stay in the cold range. If your thermostat was stuck shut , then your vehicle would overheat in a very short time and force the coolant out into the overflow bottle making you lose coolant. The likely problem is a coolant leak somewhere in the cooling system. You will need to put a pressure tester on your radiator and pump it up and look for a leak.

Is the coolant system being pressurized? I'll bet the head-gasket is beginning to fail. If your lucky it's a bad water pump...but I'm voting for head-gasket.

you will have to puchase a window handle removal tool from your local parts store. KD makes a good one but you wiil have to use this tool to remove a clip that holds the "winder " on.
