Range rover sport 2008 tdv8 engine power loose and fault apear engine system fault, I have stopped the car and have turned off the ignition , restarted the car and no issues , has happened twice

make sure you disconect the battery or the computer still reads that the circuit is open and will fry a perfectly good coil. I had the same issue and had to do a second time. Disconected the battery and now no problems.

unhook the battery for about 15 minutes, that will reset the computer. if you have an anti-theft radio. make sure you know the code first.

This also happens when the battery is dead. If you can at least wiggle the steering wheel about 20° in either direction then the steering lock isn't the problem. (Although if you wiggle it too much it might be!)
