if there is no key slot to turn of the air bag you can disconnect the battery and pull the air bag fuse, but there should be a key slot

This is very serious. I would not delay. I would find a reliable auto center, and have them check it out.
You do not want your air bags going off while you are driving.
It may just be a faulty switch, but better safe than sorry.
Please let me know what you find.

The dash does need to come out. It is very time consuming! Beware. Also, make sure that you disconnect the battery prior, to avoid any possible airbag issues.

I have a 97 dodge dakota sport and want to disable the passenger side air bag. Not sure which fuse cavity is for passenger side airbag 18 or 19? Do not want to pull wrong one

My 97 has a place in the dash under the radio to insert your ignition key
where you can turn the passenger side airbag off. If I were you i wouldnt pull the fuse for it because it could tell the computer that there is a problem that could
cause other problems. Just turn it off with your key.

How do you remove driver airbag on 2008 dodge

first thing you do is disconnect the negative cable from the battery.remove the three bolts behind streeging wheel,then pull it out and disconnect the air bag.

Clock spring in 04 dodge dadota causing problems with airbag, cruise control and horn. how do you change this.

1st and foremost you must disarm the airbag, do this by leaving the battery disconnected for 1 hour, then remove the steering wheel, u will need a steering wheel puller, they are cheap and all auto parts stores have them, after the wheel is off the clock spring is right there and held on by 3 or 4 screws, varies with year. WARNING!! FAILURE TO DISARM THE AIRBAG CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!!!

Air bag disconnected for childseat

Not positive, but most vehicals have a wire that plugs into the seatbelt buckle under the seat. that connection opperates both seatbelt & airbag lights.

When the air bag light is on, the system is not operational. Please have your dealer look at this ASAP.
