SOURCE: 2002 Toyota Sienna Sunroof

There are 4 drains on the sunroof (2 in each front corner, 2 in each rear corner).
If you want to check to see if they are clear, you can do this.

Get a squeeze bulb (about the size of a turkey baster) and squirt water down each drain, look for water draining out at the bottom of the car. For the rear drains, park the car on a slight uphill, and gently squeeze water down the drain trough on each side, here again, look for water draining out of the car.
If those ar clear, next step is to check the seal of the glass. The drains are only designed to take in a small amount of water, if there is too big of a gap between the panel and the body, it will over run the drain troughs (kind of like when the gutters on a house get stuff in them).

Finding water leaks is kind of a pain, but not if you take it a step at a time.
One thing to remember, water does not run uphill.

So to further water test it. Find a place where you can park it uphill or downhill, grab a flashlight, a friend and a hose.
Start at a low spot, and work your way around the sunroof (one person inside with the light, one outside with the hose). Just let the water run slowly, you don't want to use a nozzle or a spray.
Once you can see when the water starts leaking on the inside, you can narrow down the cause.

SOURCE: sunroof leak

there are drain hoses on all all four corners of the sunroof. to access the front ones, remove the front inner fender liners. you'll probably see a plastic grommet/spout that the drain hose attaches to. in the rear, remove the trunk liners on the side. you should see the drain hoses running down the inside of the quarter panel.

SOURCE: leaking sunroof in 98 Saturn SC2

The drain hoses get clogged behind the kick panels. Pull back the kick panel and reach in grab the hose and pull it out from the hole in the lower panel. Then I just cut off the end and watch the mud and water flow out then reinstall. There is also one in the rear wheel wells as well for the back drains.
There is no reason to remove the headliner unless its broke.

SOURCE: floor board on passenger side door gets wet when it rains. i am sure a vent drain is clogged

The drains in the wiper wells are probably clogged. You need to remove the plastic 'vent screen' under the wipers to clear out the debris. Remove the wipers and a few screws, not difficult at all. Also, under the hood, you will see a vertical tube on each side of the car under the wiper wells. These can be removed from under the hood without removing the wipers, but you will probably have to clear the wells anyway. What happens is the water backs up and enters the car through the fresh air inlet and comes in around the blower fan. Good Luck.

Water on drivers side floorboard . Why?

If you have a sunroof it could be the drain that follows the front pillar letting out under the front fender. These hoses are known to plug and crack open releasing water into the floorboards.

Driver side door check along top and front edge for tears or twisted looses sections. Internal to the door water can drain down along the window and is released outside the door seal. If the bottom of the door has the opening that releases the water plugged then water will drain over into the floorboard.

Water leak in my range rover on driver side floor had drain unstop from sunroof what else could it be

You unclogged the sunroof drain line - that is good. Are you sure that the line didn't pull up thru the floorboard. Many vehicles run the drain line down the drives side window pillar and out thru the floorboard. If the hose shrinks with age (as some do), they can pull up into the cabin and leak on the floor.

Where is the sunroof drain located on 2002 monte carlo ss and how do i unclog it?

Water leaks are fun to trace out. the drain holes and tubes can be seen with roof open and can be unplugged with compressed air . but usually the headliner is soaked and leaks on to seats the windshield will leak on to passenger floor. remove glove box and check for wetness along "A" pillar.

Nissan quest sunroof drain clogged

open your skylight and feel in the front corners for muck stuck infront of the drainage holes. Use a pipe cleaner or other wire to poke through the holes and the water should drain out. It is a little difficult to see the holes but just feel around.

Water in floorboard front and back

My 2002 Bonneville had water problems soaking carpet and trunk area. I had it to the dealer twice, it was to expensive to go back a third time. I found 3 of the four drain tube disconnected midway down the roof piller posts. Probably from when the mechanic used air pressure to dislodge the plug. The front two were very challenging to get at to push the drain tubes back onto the connector. Why would they put the drain tube connection at such a poor location for repair is beyond me. The good news is no more water leaks since the drain tubes were reconnected.

I have a 2003 honda civic ex 2 door. I have a rain leak on the drivers side by the gas/trunk lever. I keep reading it most likely is the sunroof drain. Where is the sunroof drain and how do I get to it to...

It may not be clogged. I believe the sunroof drains run down
the roof pillars and then connect to another hose which exits
through the body behind front fender. Unfortunately the hoses
connect inside the car. Then again this might not be the source
of your leak and water leaks are hard to address. Your dealer
might be your best bet. If the sunroof drains are clogged, Honda
knows entry and exit and they have to be unclogged with compressed
air.

Where do the sunroof drain tubes exit this vehicle?

There are a total of four drains, two front, two rear. The front drains empty out inside of each front door jam. The rear drains empty out inside of the rear bumper. If you drain holes are clogged, use an air compressor to unclog not other as you may either break the drain tube or wack it out of place. I believe there is a technical service bulletin for Grand Prix sunroof mdels 1998-2005, In your sunroof leaks, contact your dealer for more info. Take care and hopes this works for you.

On the drivers side you will see a drainage whole similar to the passenger side. Mine did the same thing and unclogged it with a straw. [email protected]
