My rover 75 rear left door wont open from in or outside,seems as if the lock is jamed. I removed door panel and tried to open manualy with no luck, any sugestions

If the lock button doesnt move look like you door lock actuator jam you have to find a way to move the rear panel by the inside and unlock it manualy

Child locks are on.
Open from inside and flick lock bars

the spring in latch has broken and it wont open door try put key in lock outside and lock unlock while opening the door sometimes unjams to be able to open door without taking panel off inside with door closed if dosnt work you have to remove the panel inside replace door latch assembly

check to see if the child safety lock is engaged

52 plate ?? is this a sit up and beg type rover 75 ,you know the big thing with the bench seat and handbrake between the door and seat?

Remove door panel and inspect mechanism. Latch at lock end most probably broken.

Hello, this is caused by a bad door lock actuator. the door lock actuator is part of the door latch. the door latch will need to be replaced to correct this problem.

Remove the rear door outside handle. .

Remove the interior trim panel.

Remove the water deflector

disconnect battery reconect after 5 mins on reconnection rear window will go down , use key in rear lock to reset rear window, door lock should now work, if not try rear door relays behind left hand rear panel.

try a hard restart, if that doesnt work then you need a new rear window motor. for the hard restart all you have to do is disconnect the battery cables and touch the positive and negative together for about 8 seconds. if that fails then a new motor it is.

There is a child safety switch on the rear latch assembly that prevents opening from the inside handle. This switch may be on. Check your owners manual for more info.
