Loosen the side motor mount and carefully jack the engine up a few inches (careful not to damage the pan), bolts will then you will have enough clearance.

SOURCE: the bolts holding the water pump keep breaking I

u have to go to the dealership or look at your treds thats where the bolt goes in u mite have cross treaded them i did that all u have to do if u did is get some pipe tape (white color) put it on the bolt for a now or retap the hole with the tapper or thead

Try this website. The fuse panel is in the dash near the steering wheel, probably at about knee height. Some versions have the cover held in place with small bolts. (possibly 8mm or 10mm).

Just asking but if you have a new water pump or gasket it should show how many there is.
If not go to an auto parts store site and look a water pump .
AutoZone has very good pics at all directions.

1994 GMC Topkick not getting power from the fuel pump. Where is the fuel pump relay located?
Before going there, check your INERTIA SWITCH (INTERTIAL CUTOFF SWITCH). A small accident or a sharp bump can cause the cutoff switch to trip. The switch is located adjacent to the passenger side rear shock tower, and there is a pushbutton to reset (on most Topkick tucks). Carbureted Topkick trucks do not have cutoff switches, and some custom trucks have the inertia switch relocated.

How to change water pump on a 1995 crown victoria after you have nothing but the pulley and water pump left and there connected
There should be four bolts between the back of the pulley and the water pump holding the pulley on the water pump. You can either try to remove them before you take the water pump off the engine (not recommended), or remove the four (I think) bolts holding the water pump to the engine block, remove the water pump, ten remove the four bolts holding the pulley to the water pump shaft (recommended). check that you have put the bolts back in the correct place as some installations have different length bolts for different positions. Also check that a bolt doesn't go into a water jacket in which case you will have to use a thread sealer goo to stop the water leak around the threads of the bolt

Change the water pump
  • Tools Required
  • J 43651 Water Pump Holding Tool
  • Remove the thermostat housing.
  • Remove the water pump access plate from the front cover.
  • Remove the right hand fender liner.
    1. Important: A drain plug has been provided at the bottom of the water pump assembly for additional coolant drainage from the engine block and water pump.
    Drain the coolant from the water pump using the plug at the bottom of the pump.
    1. mportant: The water pump holding tool supports the sprocket and chain during water pump service. The tool must be used or the balance shaft must be re-timed.
    Install the J 43651 into position.
    1. Tighten the bolts on the water pump holding tool into the threads on the water pump sprocket.
    2. Install the access cover bolts that were removed earlier to secure the water pump holding tool to the front cover assembly.
    3. Remove the 3 inner water pump sprocket to water pump blots.
      1. Important: Be sure to remove both water pump bolts from the front of the engine block.
      Remove the 2 water pump bolts.
      Remove the rear 2 water pump bolts.
      1. Remove the water pump.
      2. Remove and discard the water pump O-ring seal.
      Installation Procedure
      1. Important: Prior to installing the water pump, read the entire procedure. This will help avoid balance shaft chain re-timing and ensure proper sealing.
      Install a NEW water pump O-ring seal.

      1. Important: A guide pin can be created to aid in water pump alignment. Use a M 6 m x 6 mm stud. Thread the pin into the water pump sprocket.
      Using the guide pin, align the pin with the water pump holding tool.
      1. Position the water pump against the engine block and hand tighten the water pump bolts.
      2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
      Install the inner water pump sprocket bolts. After 2 are snug, remove the guide pin and install the 3rd bolt.
      Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
      1. Tighten the water pump sprocket bolts last. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
      2. Remove the J 43651.
      3. Install the water pump access plate and bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
      4. Install the right hand fender liner.
      5. Install the thermostat housing.

Replace water pump 93 grand prix
here is a step by step instruction on how to replace your water pump. please do not forget to rate and comment about your experience today with fixya.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  3. If necessary for access, remove the coolant recovery reservoir.
  4. Partially drain the coolant, into a suitable container, to a level below the water pump.
  5. If equipped, remove the serpentine belt guard/cover.
  6. Remove the serpentine belt.
  7. Remove the retaining bolts, then remove the water pump pulley.
  8. Unfasten the 5 water pump attaching bolts, then remove the water pump and gasket. Discard the gasket.
To install:
  1. Thoroughly clean the water pump mounting surfaces.
  2. Position a new gasket, then install the water pump.
  3. Install the attaching bolts and tighten them to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  4. Install the water pump pulley.
  5. Install the serpentine belt and belt cover/guard (if equipped).
  6. Refill the cooling system with the specified type and amount amount of engine coolant.
  7. Install the air cleaner assembly.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable, then start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
