Usually something stuck in the tracks make sure they are clear if not then teeth on drive are damaged

gears are probably not engaged. take the seat out, see if the motor drive gear is still within the teeth of the seat rail. if not, force it in. Easy to take out, 4 bolts and the seat comes up and out.

I'm having the same issue with my 2013 Sorento LX....I haven't even put 300 miles on it.
I had to go to the dealership and at the dealer the seat was stuck in the folded position and I could not get it to release. The head mechanic after a few minutes got it.. Was told the had to adjust the release cable.
Now two days later and I'm having the same issue again.

I have the same problem with my 2011 Kia Sorento. I have been googling it and I think it may be a bad brake sensor switch. Going to take it to the dealership on Monday. I had my battery tested (which I had replaced about 3 weeks ago) and it was fine. I found a video online that shows how to bypass the brake sensor . Push the start button once and then again and hold it the second time for about 15 seconds until it starts. Mine started right up
