No,if it is slipping then you need a new clutch, check your clutch fluid reservoir,if low, then your slave cylinder is leaking and needs replacing..

If it is a cable clutch operation the adjustment should be at the clutch throw out arm . If it is hydraulic the replace the clutch master cylinder as you may have a blocked compensating port in the cylinder which keeps pressure on the clutch arm and will slip the clutch

Start by having the clutch adjustment checked by a knowlegdable mechanic. If you need to replace the clutch, yes it all needs to be replaced, and the flywheel resurfaced.

Meanwhile, quit driving the unit as you are overheating the clutch and flywheel by slipping.

A clutch needs to be replaced (maybe) when it SLIPS, Chatters, Or fails to release...

Other than that, the clutch will need to be adjusted to allow for total release of the relese bearing when pedal is released, and full disengaugement when pedal is depressed....Have a mechanic look at the adjustement, as proper adjustment gives longer clutch life. This is a periodic adjustment item.

How to adjust a hydraulic clutch mazda protege 01 2 0L? or how do i change it by my self if the adjustment does not work?

With a hydraulic clutch there is no adjustment as the slave cylinder does that automatically by using the fluid.

Hi

If your clutch is slipping the clutch plate is worn out and will have to be changed. This involves engine and gearbox has to be taken out - then the gearbox has to be sperated from the engine to remove the clutch assembly and replace the clutch plate with a new one.

There is no adjustment on this clutch as it is hydraulic and therefore is self adjusting.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Thinking its the clutch.

Hi there. Sounds like you have a slipping clutch and it’s most likely one of two main problems. The first is you need to see whether the clutch can be adjusted. If a self adjusting clutch, then the clutch plate may be worn and requires replacement. I’d have the problem checked-out quickly at either a Dealer or Clutch Specialist, the longer the clutch is slipping, the more damage you might be doing to either the flywheel or clutch pressure plate. Hope this helps, Scottech.
