I have a new trailblazer that I changed the oil for the second time. The hour meter will not reset

turn key on in the run position press gas peddle to the floor 3 times with in 5 seconds the wait ten 10 seconds i do these all the time

ok turn the key on and pump the gas pedal 3 times and it should flash and then go away.until next service time

1. Turn the key to the "ON" position
2. Press the accelerator all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds
3. You should see the oil light flash, once it stops flashing, turn the key off
4. Wait 10 seconds before starting the vehicle, the oil light should now be reset
5. If this doesn't reset the light, repeat steps 1-4 paying careful attention to pressing accelerator all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds

Yes that is a great car - BMW however has a habit of changing things mid year SO - -take down the vin number - call the local dealer and ask for either a print out - or if it is simply - just instructions for your vin number -this prevents you trying to do the reset for another model same year - different set up. While you have their attention -ask about RECALLS - and - SERVICE BULLETINS.
