I have a 2006 sts, I scan car and it came back 07ea, and 07e8 . can you tell me what this is

07E8: codes were requested from your vehicle's engine module.

07E9: codes were requested from your vehicle's transmission module.

You should be able to click on those codes if you're using a capable scan tool, and you'll see which powertrain (PXXXX) codes are stored.

figure out problem before replacing or removing parts or ecm those are not codes those show that you didnt read the instructions for the scanner you used --with simple scanners those codes show that they're codes present you need to click read--next--code-etc which ever is the next page --rescan vehicle

po700 is a trans problem tcm communication problem the other is not a code you need to read your user manual and it tells you yo continue so redo your scan

How did you come up with these codes ? OBD2 codes all start with a P like P0301 , P0117 , You mite want to have an other scan tool hooked up . Get the correct DTC'S then we could advise you . Trouble Codes

The fuse is located under the rear seat in the fuse box.Trunk/valet fuse.

It probably thinks you're trying to program a key & fob. I really don't think you can just 'make' a key - I think it needs to be a regulation key fob + key for that particular car - security features and such.

Hello: P0496 deals with the evap system. You have to have a scan tool to clear the code. But if you don't repair the problem the light will come back on. Other than checking the wiring and connector you will need a scan tool to diagnose it.

Have a scan tool put on it and see what codes come up. It sounds like a knock sensor to me, but lets get that free scan at autozone, or Pep boys & see what it says.
