What code ? Plugging in a scan tool to check codes is how it's done , not by the light blinking an then staying on . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

AIR BAG Indicator
The AIR BAG indicator, located in the IPC is used to notify the driver of SIR system malfunctions and to verify that the SDM is communicating with the IPC. When the ignition is turned ON, the SDM and the IPC are supplied with ignition 1 voltage. The IPC responds by flashing the AIR BAG indicator seven times. While the IPC is flashing the AIR BAG indicator, the SDM conducts tests on all SIR system components and circuits. If no malfunctions are detected, the SDM will command the IPC to turn the AIR BAG indicator OFF via Class 2 serial data. The SDM provides continuous monitoring of the inflator module circuits by conducting a sequence of checks. If a malfunction is detected, the SDM will store a DTC and command the IPC to turn the AIR BAG indicator ON via Class 2 serial data. The presence of a SIR system malfunction could result in non-deployment of the inflator modules in the event of a collision, or deployment of the inflator modules without the event of a collision. The AIR BAG indicator will remain ON until the malfunction has been repaired.

Code p0496 the purge valve on 09 gmc acadia. Replaced that now have code u0100.

DTC U0100-U0299
Circuit/System Description
The serial data circuit is the means by which the control modules in the vehicle communicate with each other. Once the scan tool is connected to the serial data circuit through the DLC, the scan tool can be used to monitor each module for diagnostic purposes and to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). When the ignition switch is in RUN, each control module communicating on the serial data circuit sends a state of health (SOH) message to ensure that the control module is operating properly. When a control module stops communicating on the serial data circuit, for example if the module loses power or ground, the SOH message it normally sends on the serial data circuit disappears. Other control modules on the serial data circuit, which expect to receive that SOH message, detect its absence; those control modules in turn sets a DTC associated with the loss of SOH of the non-communicating control module. The DTC is unique to the control module which is not communicating, for example, when the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) SOH message disappears, several modules set DTC U1088. Note: a loss of serial data communications DTC does not represent a failure of the module that set it.

U0100 00
Lost Communication with Engine/Powertrain Control Module (ECM/PCM)

Circuit/System Verification
Verify that following BCM DTCs are not present:
• U1814
• U2099
• B1428
• B1370
• B1380
• B1440
• B1441
? If any listed DTC is present, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle to diagnose that DTC prior to this diagnostic.

Circuit/System Testing
Note: Use the schematic to identify the following:
• Control modules the vehicle is equipped with
• Control module locations on the low and high speed GMLAN serial data circuits
• The control modules B+, ignition, ground, communication enable and serial data circuit terminals
Determine the module that is not communicating. Refer to Control Module U Code List.
Ignition OFF, disconnect the necessary harness connector of the module that is not communicating.
Test for less than 5 ? between each ground circuit terminal and ground.
? If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
If equipped, verify that a test lamp illuminates between each B+ circuit terminal and ground.
? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit fuse is open, test the control circuits of the control module for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the control module.
If equipped, ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between each ignition circuit terminal and ground.
? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit fuse is open, test the control circuits of the control module for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the control module.
Note: Only the high speed GMLAN modules have a serial data communication enable circuit OR an accessory wakeup serial data circuit, and the BCM is the output for these circuits. Refer to the module schematics to identify which modules have these circuits.
If equipped, ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the communication enable circuit terminal OR the accessory wakeup circuit terminal and ground.
? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
Ignition OFF for 60 seconds, test for less than 5 ? between the serial data circuit terminals and the DLC terminal listed below:
• Class 2 serial data circuit terminal 2
• Low speed GMLAN serial data terminal 1
• High speed GMLAN serial data terminal 6 or 14
? If greater than the specified range, test the serial data circuit for an open/high resistance between the non communicating control module and a module setting the DTC or a serial data splice pack.
If all circuits test normal, replace the control module that is not communicating.

Do you know how to do electrical testing using a wiring diagram and a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter ? Do you know how complex the electronic's are on your vehicle are . Could be something simple but then again may not be . Hooking up a professional type scan tool that can check for DTC'S in all the modules on the vehicle would be the first step in diagnosing this ! Do you know what a electronic control module is ? Your vehicle can set hundreds of code's an they don't all turn on the check engine light . Moving the ignition switch to the CRANK position sends a 12 V signal to the PCM Ignition Crank Sense. The PCM verifies that the transmission is in the PARK or NEUTRAL position. The PCM then grounds the control circuit of the START relay. When the START relay is energized it allows voltage to the starter solenoid S terminal.Do you know what Data Link Communications are ?
The data link connector (DLC) allows a scan tool to communicate with the class 2 serial data line. The serial data line is the means by which the microprocessor-controlled modules in the vehicle communicate with each other. Once the scan tool is connected to the class 2 serial data line through the DLC, the scan tool can be used to monitor each module for diagnostic purposes and to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Class 2 serial data is transmitted on a single wire at an average of 10.4 kbps. This value is an average; class 2 uses a variable pulse width modulation to carry data and depending on the message it may operate faster or slower. The bus will float at a nominal 7 volts during normal operation. Each module can pull this lower during the transmission. The bus is not at battery positive voltage or ground potential during normal operation. When the ignition switch is in RUN, each module communicating on the class 2 serial data line sends a state of health (SOH) message every 2 seconds to ensure that the module is operating properly. When a module stops communicating on the class 2 serial data line, for example, if the module loses power or ground, the SOH message it normally sends on the data line every 2 seconds disappears. Other modules on the class 2 serial data line, which expect to receive that SOH message, detect its absence; those modules in turn set an internal DTC associated with the loss of SOH of the non-communicating module. The DTC is unique to the module which is not communicating; for example, when the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) SOH message disappears, several modules set DTC U1088. Note that a loss of serial data DTC does not normally represent a failure of the module that set it.

Your best bet would be to have a qualified repairs shop check it out .

I have trouble codes P1603 and C1145. What do they mean?

P1603: Transmission Control Module (TCM) EEPROM Failure
C1145: Front right wheel speed sensor input circuit failure

The P1603 means that your TCM has probably failed. It may have a loose solder connection or the PROM chip may have come out of it's slot. EIther way the TM needs tobe removed from the car and repaired/replaced by a qualified repair person.

The C1145 is for the ABS and it may be related to the TCM failure. I am not that familiar with the Jaguar ABS system, but that code means the signal from the front right wheel is bad. May be the sensor or the "tone ring"...
