My brakes started going out on my 02 jetta, the pedal is tight and if you depress it more than once or pump them it is hard to stop at all. also it seems as though the turbo went out at the same time. it...

It sounds like you are getting very little vacuum assistance to your brake booster. I would check the main vacuum hose that runs to the brake booster from the inlet manifod as well as all those pesky little rubber vacuum hoses that are used for pollution control. They tend to go hard and split if they are over 8-10 years old, allowing air / vacuum leaks into the inlet manifold. One of these hoses probably also controls the operation of the turbo which inhibits its functioning .Check all hoses where they connect to the metal piping and replace as necessary. Any auto parts shop will stock the rubber hoses which can be bought by the foot.

Hi my audi 1.9 tdi is losing power badley the acceliration totaly went its just had a new turbo so i dont think its the turbo. I,ve been out in the car a few times and the problem seems to come and go...

If somebody replaced the turbocharger with a new one, you must check up all command vacuum lines, the entire air intake system (air pressure pipes, intercooler, connections, EGR - throttle vane, ...), and also turbocharger and EGR command solenoid valves (three pieces). Could be also MAF sensor defective! Here you have the vacuum air pipes connection picture for Audi A4 1.9 TDI (AJM engine):
