Could be something as simple as the connection came unplugged. If not, disconnect it at the lug and check it with a test probe to see is there power from the harness to the motor. If no power, check fuses and connection at the sending unit.

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Sierra 4dr truck. the fan does not work

The switch or the wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. The highest setting 5 has no resistor, so the blower runs on high but the high current flow ends up burning up the switch's contact on that setting or the resistor wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. Common would be the switch it self, if the switch is good. Then it's going to be the wire leads at the speed resistor by the blower motor under the glove box by the passenger leg compartment. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your Sierra running 100% again soon.

I have a 2005 Gmc Sierra. The fan doesnt work anymore and I checked the fuse and its fine. How hard is it to replace the relay?

When you say fan I assume that you are talking about the heater fan?? The fuse and relay are usually plug in modules. Fuses are usually under the dash and relays and some fuses are under the hood in a large black box on top of the drivers side fender. A description of fuses and relays is on the inside of the lid that you take off. If replacing them doesn't work then time for a new fan.

Cooling fan relay location on a 2005 gmc sierra

If air is hot then cold it sounds like you have a sizable air pocket in the cooling system. This could be caused by a leak or if you have recently done anything to the system without bleeding it afterward.

Heater problems

Probably passenger temp actuator. Make sure connectors are fully seated on right I/P junction block. If they are, it's more than likely a faulty actuator. Dash pad and air distribution ductwork have to be removed to access actuator.
