Do you have separate heat/cooling controls for driver and passenger. If so, you have two blend doors/actuators.

SOURCE: cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers side

Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.c976077.jpg

Make sure you are getting plenty of vacuum to the control, if you are than it will have to be replaced.

SOURCE: The driver side only blows

Yes it is most likely a vacuum actuator there are more then one . They open and close little doors in the ducts to deriect air flow inside the ducts . They are not easy to get at in most cases however you should look at all vacuum lines going to and near the unit its controlled by engine vacuum . exhust all other opptions first before takeing the dash out . The problem could also be electrical check the control switches make sure the switch is not bad on one side . Spend some time looking and thinking before you start riping things apart. Good luck with it

2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Which actuator controls what? There is one on the right and left of the center console, mine will blow cold on driver's side and hot on the rear and passenger side.

Question edited for clarity and spelling of 'console'.
Question moved to model category.

They are called blend door actuators. You just check them all for operation. You have one that has failed or become unclipped. Details in the link

Heat on driver side not on passenger 2007 Sebring

If you have a dual range heating system (separate settings for driver and passenger), your blend door actuator for the passenger side is not working. I have no idea on how hard it is to get to this actuator on your particular vehicle, but know that it's under the dash on the passenger side, and may be quite involved in troubleshooting and replacing if necessary.

2011 Ford Flex. Driver side blows heat but the passage side blows cold air. Think it has some to do with the blend door. Assuming it is duck open. Priblem? Where is it located, how to fix it.

It will be the passenger side blend door actuator. Remove the glove box and if you were sitting in the passenger seat it will be by your left knee. Unplug and remove the screws then install new one, it is a little tight inside there though.

Drivers side, under the dash, to the right of the gas pedal. If you have dual control there is one on the passenger side also.

Heater blows hot on passenger side and at same time blows colder on driver side. what can i do to fix this problem

if its equipped with the dual climate knobs where you can set the heat to suit yourself on either side, you have an actuator, or an actuator door hanging up that operates the drivers side vents.

The heater in my 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 will not heat up or gets only luke warm & only on the passenger side....any suggestions?

Cold on drivers side and heat on passengers side, actuators working properly and blend doors are moving. Heatertreater is for piece of plastic on actuator motor. I moved blend door by hand after disconnecting actuator and works fine, both sides freezing when moved in opposite direction.
