SOURCE: Can the 2010 Navigator replace
Finally found someone after 40 years, that believes a 5th grader could design a vehicle.
I have told my wife, that I would fire most all design engineers, ever hired since 1960. You can't even remove an oil filter, for the last 45 years, let alone see it.
I have 47 years, some professional, and can't believe what these maufactures are thinking.
Iam about to do a ground up 60's resto, and never drive drive a high tech vehicle again. And I understand the technology and have no problem repairing them.
SOURCE: easy in/out function on Mercedes E350 doesn't work
I will try to help. If the function is to move the seat automatically for entering or exiting the vehicle, then this function is often on a Menu list. Sometimes when an oilchange place resets the oil change interval, the wrong button gets pushed and wipes out the settings for something else, like your in and out assist. It may also happen if the Battery was disconnected.
Now if the power to the seat has a broken fuse, you should check your sseat controls to see if they still move. If not a fuse needs to be changed and a repair made. The loss of power to the seat motor is the reason the automatic movement does not work.
If the steering wheel and column is also tied in to easy access, it may be fused separately and still work.
to replace that, you might want to just buy a whole new headrest, pull off the old one by holding the adjusments tabs until it comes out, then take the whole thing to part source and show them, they can get you another one or your dealership, then put it back in the exact opposite way you took it out. problem solved.
