I'm having a problem with the volume of air coming thru the air conditioning. Is it a vent not opening up in the dash or something else. How do I fix it?

  • rpnorris777 Aug 05, 2009

Yes it is too low. Where is the blower motor? All vents seem to blowing low equally.

What is the volume of air? Is it too low? Check your blower motor and see if there's trash in it. Are some vents putting out more air than others? Please clarify.

I had the same problem on my 98. It was a loss of vacuum between the engine and AC vacuum cannister.

2004 Pontiac Montana blows hot and cold thru vents even though the air conditioning is on. Mechanic says have to take whole dash out to get to the vent doors to fix it. Is there any other solutions?

The problem is within the airflow box, either a stuck or broken flap. It will need to be accessed via dash removal, (not as scary as you think).

I have a mitsubishi lancer ck2 1998 model no air comes out of the center vents, the air condition works I get air coming out of the side vents what may be the reason for no air coming through the center...

Could be a blend door problem. The blend doors under the dash direct air thru the heater core and the vents.
Are you sure the center vent is not blocked off ?

2000 gmc sierra 1500 blow hot air but the air is in the dash not coming out of the vents, why?

Usually a sign of a faulty blend door.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and out thru the vents.

My ac unit is working but will not blow air out of the dash vents. The blower is working

Hey man if the blower is working and air is coming from your other vents i have a few ideas.First i would start by checking your vent selection switch something may be stuck where the dash vents open. If the selector is fine you should try checking the ducting behind the dash it could have come apart or simply be cloged where it routes air to your dash. hope that is helpfull.

Air blows out thru the vents but just no hot air, aslo i have to hit the dash for the air to come out thru the dash vents at times.

sounds like bad acuator motor, this is what moves the door in heater box to set hot or cold air, and other motors to set air to blow thru defrost, vent or floor. good luck.

Front Defrost

clean the pollen filter wherever it is some are under the dash in the ac unit and some are below the grill vents where the wipers are.if this doesnt work then it could be a trampilla playing up thats controling the air in and recirculate .but if tis this then just disconnect the vacumn pipe and stick something in like a stic to hold the flap open .works on a vauxhaul zaffiro and a citreon zx
