First go to ford owners.Com register then download the manual for free then go to roadside emergencies and your fuse box diagrams and fuse values are there also the relays //////before you replace any you might need electrical plug cleaning maintenance the vans 16 years old now go to each component and clean the plugs contacts to get nice and shiny alcohol or electrical cleaner will work and maybe 4/0 steel wool if you see corrosion then it's needed also the cable going to your power distribution box from the battery and the fuse blades in that box along with the relays must be cleaned also there is an accessory relay in the passenger fuse box after doing all cleaning check for blown fuses and replace for the windows the master window switch maybe corroded at the connector clean all and make sure they fit the contact pins tightly on the switch now obviously I am not there at the van so you have to perform these things to rule out other possibilities and most likely this didn't happen all at once but if it did detach the power distribution box and look underneath for broken wires the manual will tell you what things are on the same fuses and relays good luck stephen

SOURCE: 1996 Ford Windstar tail lights and dash lights stopped working

No. All those lights are on the same fuse and are controlled by the headlamp switch.

Make sure that the fuses were all checked on the fuse panel inside the vehicle under the dash. That is where the fuse for those lights is.

Why do I have problems with the electrical dim headlights, no tail lights. The turn signals & brake lights work but the instrument panel won't light. Have checked all fuses & ground wires. Wha

With out tracing the wiring/voltages its not possible to be sure, but the likely cause is the headlight switch ... assuming you didn't miss any fuses/circuit breakers. Turn signals and brake lights are on an entirely different circuit; so thats not really relevant. The panel, tail, and head lights are all operated thru the same switch (though likely different contacts in that switch), so to be sure you should verify power into the switch vs no power out before replacing it. Hope that helps.

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

Brake Lights don't work on the back of our 2003 Ford Windstar

Did you actually check the brake light switch for power in and out ?
There are two different fuses, one for each side. And the circuit includes the turn signal switch.
The third brake light bypasses the turn signals.

The tail lights do not work. The headlights, blinkers, and brake lights work. I checked the fuses and they are all good.

It can be faulty tail light bulb or its issue with tail light control switch or its wiring's are short.

Check the voltage at fuse slot of tail light.Do you receive 12 volt there. If not, then it says tail light switch is not receiving power supply.
