If the oil is the correct viscosity and you added the correct amount, suspect the oil filter. If you continue to have trouble or just want to say hi leave a testimonial, I hope this helps, take care.

Hi, I replaced the oil filter and o-rings, and the problem seemed to be repaired. Even the oil level sensor which showed inactive previously, was functioning correctly. I didnt use the car for tw hours, but when I started it again I had the same problem. Low oil level and oil level sensor indicating inactive.

Now it sounds like a controller problem. Try this, disconnect both battery cables then touch or connect them together for about a minute this will discharge all the electronics. NOTE make sure you have the radio code and any other info you may need to reset as this hard clear puts everything back to the original settings. Anyway reconnect the "clean" cables then road test the car, if the problem is still there the sending unit must be bad. This is an interesting problem, can you let me know how this turns out? Use testimonial and I'll get it in my email

SOURCE: Subaru Outback- maintenance schedule- air filter

Air filters are usually cheap and easy to replace compared to reduced gas mileage due to a dirty filter. Air Filters are not usually a warranty item and it's up to the auto owner to replace when needed. It should be checked every time an oil change is done and replaced it necessary. It can be dirty after short mileage if driven in dusty conditions.

SOURCE: Oil Indicator light on Volkswagen Passat 1.8L Turbo

Hi. there are many issues that can cause this type of situation. the oil pressure sending unit may be malfunctioning. there could be a faulty module or the wires and connectors could also be lose or faulty as well. you could also have a clogged oil filter but, that usually isn't the main issue here. the most common problem here would be a bad oil screen in the pan or a faulty oil pump. you will find the problem in these areas above.

Please rate and god bless:)

SOURCE: bmw 323 'r' reg e36 engine oil light flashing

your oil pressure switch is a great place to start. since the oil was really thick you could have a horrible oil sludge problem. about 50-100 miles before your next oil change take a bottle of Transmission Fluid and dump in with your oil. and Drive for the remaning 50-100 miles with the Trany fluid still in the oil. The Transmission Fluid is a great Cleaner for sludge.
hope this helped you

SOURCE: how to replace valve cover gaskets on 1995 BMW 530I

sounds like a leaky oil presure switch. they will leak oil out of the wires comming out of them sometimes saturating the connector of the switch. If that isnt the problem then your oil pump is weak causing the lite to come on or your leak is so bad your oil level is so low the lite is coming on

How old is the BMW? There is obviously a blockage in the oil system somewhere. How often has the oil been changed on the car? Are there any other warning lights or warning signs on the dashboard?
The only thing I can suggest is that you get a good engine specialist to flush the oil system as old oil can go to a thick sludge and block pipes and slow down oil flow.

Engine oil lamp some times blinks comes on and later when restart it does not come I have Kia Sorento 2009

The oil light will come on when ever pressure is low it ct can be as little as the oil pressure sensor is going out or you may have a blockage somewhere in the oil system try doing an oil change with mobile1 oil this may help if there is a small blockage but defiantly get the sensor checked first

2010 audi q7 shows on the board service 700km 30 days. what does it mean? what service is it?

It's the normal car service reminder due. Whichever will be reached first: 700 km, or 30 days. In other words after 700 km, or if you don't drive the car 700 km within 30 days, you should carry out the car maintenace: engine oil & oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen & dust cabin filter, ...
Then you will need to reset the "Service due" message on the dashboard. For Audi Q7 made year 2010, the Service Interval Indicator can only be reset with the VAS 5051 or similar diagnostic tool connected to the data link connector of the car.

Good day.Your problem may cause a second things.st improper use of engine oil viscosity numbers, 2 low pressure in the lubricating system. In poor lubrication is needed to answer the question, a few deleted, and find out why these options: Suction basket is oil in order of entry is not blocked or distorted, and reduced oil flow?It is not clogged or restricted flow oil filter? Measure the device's real pressure oil pump provides oil and whether it is within the tolerances of the manufacturer? Determine whether or not clogged or otherwise restricted lubrication system in distribution channels of the engine? In the case where this all goes well then it will only be a faulty sensor lubricant pressure and still shows the "low pressure" in fact, it is good :-) The picture of oil system in your motor.fac423d.png
