Hello John, your owners manual should provide the correct procedure for jump starting your vehicle. Check the "In case of emergencies" section.

Thanks Mike with my 99 Buick Century Limited. My 2000 Jaguar, Type-S the batter is located in the trunk and it is dead. How are you able to open the trunk. The remote won't work. How do I open it?

Use a slave battery and suitable leads or a jump starter to energise the car via the cigar lighter or by accessing the battery lead to the starter. Some vehicles with a boot or in-car mounted battery have a jump starting point in the engine compartment.

Why no power after jumpstarting 1986 honda

Possible bad connection between batt cables and battery. Even a weak battery will power something in the car but with asbolutely no power, it's usually a bad connection somewhere. Also check the battery itself (most "sealed" batteries can still be checked by prying up the cap to check the cells).

1984 jag xj6 has no power

Hi Clyde

Expect you have it running by now, as I see this was posted 2 March ?

If not......

Charge up your battery, and heavy discharge test, suspect you have short in the plates.

If OK, jump start with a set of proper heavy duty jump leads.

Good Luck !

A FixYa would be nice...Thank´s......John.

Jaguar S Type V8 Auto 2000 no start

Check all your fuses first as it sounds like you shorted something out, did you turn the jag off before connecting the jump leads, if you did you will be ok but if you did not it is more than likely a fuse.
hope thishelps
