You disconnect the fuel supply line at the fuel rail and tee your gauge into it.

If computer sees no crank sensor signal it shuts down pulses to the injectors. But, you bring something new into the mix. Make sure fender grounding is good so the relay can operate properly and make sure power going to it is not restricted by a loose or dirty contact on the power side.

The error P1130 and P1131 is for the fuel trim and lean fuel mixture respectively. This tells me that this may be an issue with the air fuel mixture or its reached its limits in compensating for the incorrect mixture. You could try to clean out the intake first using carb cleaner spray or tuner spray to clean out the intake and the MAF sensor which measures the air that comes in. Check also if there are leaks or gaps on the air duct found between the air filter and the intake manifold and the intake plenum. Leaks would cause the system to get an incorrect reading. If it were a faulty sensor you should get the error code for the sensor and you may have issues starting the engine up.

Check also the vacuum hoses which may be loose or cracked that needs replacing or refitting. This is also a common cause. I also do not rule out the possibility of the fuel sensors going or starting to go bad. The PCV may also need cleaning or replacing.

With all mentioned items go check first the leaks of the intake system and the vacuum lines as these are found to be common. Some leaks or cracks are minimal but is crucial to the sensors.

I have a 1998 Nissan Sentra GXE and I am wanting to know how to check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail to make sure I am getting enough fuel pressure cause my car keeps stalling out not wanting to go...

You can either purchase or most places borrow a fuel pressure gauge from your local part store. You should have a schrader valve on the fuel rail where you hook the gauge. You should have over 40# of pressure at the rail when cranking the engine.

1998 LaSaber won't start, changed the ignition moduele ran for a day. Now won't start

Defective crank angle sensor can cause this. No fuel, too. Check fuel pressure in rail. Perhaps fuel pump not running (bad pump). Clogged fuel filter a possibility if no fuel pressure.

You can mount a fuel pressure guage to the engine fuel rail at its bicycle valve bleeder, with tof see if it has pressure when you first turn on the key to start. You may be able to hear the fuel pump running by listening at the fuel tank fill cap that you would remove for that moment. By turning on ignition to start, not run, you are energizing the fuel pump to bring up pressure that should happen in several seconds. So, check if it gets to normal fuel starting pressure, maybe 45 to 60 psi. Then turn key all the way to run, to get car engine running and watch the fuel pressure to see if it stays pretty constant at that 45 to 60 psi. Turn engine off, and watch how long it takes for fuel pressure to drop, and it should not happen fast but instead over 15 minutes or more. That might indicate your fuel regulator valve isn;t working right.
Is it possible your starting system is the culprit, say some battery cable loose that may make starting hard or eventually quit until you tighten these cable ends at battery and starter.

Car was starting perfect until wife tried to start when petrol tank empty have put petrol in car it runs appox 2-3 seconds then cuts out appears fuel being cut off

sounds like fuel pump is running but can not produce enough pressure. try pressurizing the tank with compressed air(may have an air lock) and if that doesnt work consult your local jag dealer for tips before you replace the fuel pump....

I have 98 s 10 blazer have re place fuel filter, had fouel injection cleaned via fuel rail ,replaced plugs wires rotor and cap .first start is always hard and advice

Sounds like the fuel pressure doesn't build up right away, before you crank the engine, just cycle the key from off to run position a couple times to allow the fuel pump to build pressure and then crank...if this still doesn't work, hook a set of jumper cables up to it and then crank...the extra voltage will allow the pump run faster and may fire right off....if this helps in starting, i would suspect a weak fuel pump.

Starts wont stay running

without seeing it here is my best answere, do you have the ability to pull codes if the cam and crank sensors are functioning properly ( no codes for them) i would then check the fuel pump fuse and relay . do you have fuel getting to the fuel rail . if u have a guage to check pressure at the fuel rail it should be above 30lbs , if you have no pressure and your fuses and relays are good then you have a pump problem provided you have not been in an accident , i believe that vehicle has a safety shutoff that might be located in the trunk .

FUEL PUMP WILL PUT PRESSURE IN FUEL RAIL FOR YOU. sounds like fuel pressure in the fuel rail is losing pressure usally caused from fuel pump starting to go out. check pressure with fuel gauge. screw it onto the fuel rail connection turn the key forward (do not start ) then turn key off presure should hold around 16 psi. if the gauge starts to drift back down then the fuel pump is going to go out ( sometime)
