It is most likely a broken handle on the inside. Check on you tube for a video of how to replace it. It's quite simple. You can most likely find one on ebay.

SOURCE: DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM INSIDE OF NISSAN ALTIMA 2002 ON DRIVER'S SIDE

There is a cable that attaches to the inside door latch release handle. The plastic that retains this cable is most likely broken. I have seen this before. If the retainer is not holding the cable sheath correctly, the entire cable moves when the handle is pulled and does not release the door latch.

Remove the door panel and inspect this cable. You will see 2 cables (one is for the door lock). If the plastic is broken, you will need a new interior handle assembly.

Hope this is helpful!!

SOURCE: Drivers do will not open

very difficult. you literally must rip the door trim panel off the door. its made to come off with the door open. sounds like the actuator cable for the latch is disconnected or broken. just because the lock looks unlocked that dosent mean it is, it may be the lock cable at the latch. the latch assy is located inside the door.

Yes, you have to open the door panel and inspect the linakage. Either something came loose and fell of, or something is broken..

Driver side door can't be open to repair it.

I believe that door can be opened. If you can open from inside or outside it must be a latch has come off under door handle...I've seen a cop once take the license plate off a car and stick it between the door jam by the door handle and slide it up and down and the car door came open...Worth a try..And a slim Jim down beside the door handle to catch that latch that's off would be worth a try to

I have a Lexus 1996 ES300 and the passenger side door will open from the inside but not the outside.

The steel rod that connects the outside door opener from the door lock is disconnected. This rod pushes down the lever of the door lock when you pull up the door opener.

How do you change the air condition filter on a 2002 lexus 430

It is behind the glove box. It is simple to replace, just remove the glove box (squeeze sides until it opens all the way down), open the little door and slide out the filter.

Driver side door does not lock or open with remote

does it work by the switch inside the car? if it doesn't, it is probably a bad door lock actuator inside the driver door. if it does work w/ the switch, then you may have a problem w/ the security module

Driver side door i can not open from outside

The outside door handle linkage has come off, probably due to a broken clip inside the door. This needs to be replaced.
