Check ignition coil
Maybe try changing the coil.
on occasion excess heat can cause the windings in the coil to reveal a tiny break in the wire, while the engine is running the gap will continue to arc across, but fail to connect after shutting down the engine.
once the coil cools the wiring contracts and reconnects.

try this... take off your ignition coil and test the resistance of the coil.. both cold and hot.. if your test goes to infinite all zeros.. you have what's commmonly called a hot coil... when it heats up it doesn't make contact internally right and doesn't allow power to flow.. no spark from coil.. no vrroom vrroom
SOURCE: only starts when cold
I'm not familiar with your truck but this sounds like a cold-start valve that is stuck and allowing excessive gasoline into the intake system.
If this is the case, you probably have miserable gas mileage right now since the engine would be running rich continuously.
Starting it warm, probably is causing some mild flooding and getting the plugs wet so they can't fire.
Try this: with the engine hot/warm; press the accelerator slowly all the way down, then try starting it.
If it starts this way, this would be an indication that the engine is getting too much fuel for its temperature and opening the air supply fully helps to change the air-fuel ratio sufficiently to allow it to start.

I had this same problem, what it turned out to be was the brake power booster was gone, which in turn made me blow a brake line.
