My 2014 accord shuts down immediately after I start it. It throws p2101. This has happened several times in the past and I clear the code and it's good again for a month or two. I took it to the dealership after it happened the first time and they said there's no issue. Now the problem won't go away. I cannot get the car to run after I start it and if I clear the codes, they come right back. I've changed the MAF sensor already (it used to throw MAF codes). Now it seems to be TB related, but not sure what sensor/part I should be looking at first.

I know that early 90's Honda's had problems and in fact a recall on the distributor. Might want to replace the distributor. Inside of the distributor is a part called the igniter which is the ignition module and that is what normally goes out. I cannot remember if you have to replace the whole distributor to get the igniter or if you can just replace the igniter itself. Has been a few years since I have worked on one. hope this helps but if not please contact me. I'm not sure about the drive light flashing thing though, new one on me.

befor in the ealier models of accords they use to be both the cam and crank sensors in the distibutor but they separated them !!!So no they are not together on your car tha cam sensor is in the distributor and the crank sensor is in front of engine or in the lower timing belt cover if it is in the timing cover you can see a wire going dow the timing cover way to the bottom on the rear side off it
hope it will help you if you have any question just wright back !!!!

SOURCE: throwing code p0300 running rough random multiple
there are a few possibilities that could cause this one is a dirty mass airflow sensor or an oxygen sensor giving false information to the pcm. i have a few things to try if you have an ls option package or higher you have a 3800 series 2 engine the mass air flow sensor is on the top of the throttle body. to clean this sensor, remove sensor by taking two screws off top unhook wire connector and lift up. this is sensor upside down clean the little wire in center with carb cleaner just spry through the hole shake it a few times and reinstall. start engine see how it runs. if you have a 3400 remove silver sensor from air inlet duct running from throttle body to air filter box (check for signs of mice in air box due to sitting for a period of time prior to problem) loosen two clamps on sensor, unhook wire connector and wiggle out sensor spray wires clean with carb clean shake a couple of times and reinstall (do not touch wires with fingers) start car and test. the other possibility is 02 sensor the easiest way to figure this out is to unhook the precatalyst sensor if you look over the back of the engine( on either engine) were the exhaust comes off of engine there is a sensor there un hook it start car and run it see if condition improves.
Testimonial: "thank you it is the 02 sensor"

The exact same set of codes have just come up on my car, the same car and year. Did you solve it? I am thinking cleaning the throttle body first, any help appreciated....

Hi there:
You will have to pinpoint what the engine is missing Spark / Fuel / Compression
All
three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There
are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both
are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel
pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the
reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light. The injector gets
unplugged and the noid light gets plugged in to the injector clip. With
the engine cranking over, this light must blink. This is the signal to
the injectors from the computer. You can have all the fuel pressure in
the world, but it wont matter if the injector is not pulsing gas into
the cylinder like it should.
Compression tester,
spark tester, fuel pressure gage and noid light are all accessible at
your local auto store. All three tests play a very important part in
diagnosing a no start condition. Be extremely careful when doing these
tests.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important
and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some
testimonial comment about this answer.
