2012 Hyundai Elantra has the problem when engine starting, first one time starting, but engine dies, 2 times starting is OK. Which part must be changed?

Early morning, engine starting is very good, during daytime, first try, very often engine dies soon after get started. Some parts are not good enough.

SOURCE: 1999 hyundai elantra starting problems

remove the starter motor and check for damage/wear on the teeth of the starter motor and the ring gear teeth on the flywheel.turn the engine by hand while checking the ring gear so as to check the condition all the way around.hope this helps

The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.

your charging system is not working,so your car is working only on batt. power,when batt.gets weak car will cut off! good chance alter nator is defective! check alt.elect. connections at alt,if con.are good its alt.

SOURCE: starting problems when hot on hyundai coupe 1.6 1999

it sounds like an ignition component ( ignition module, coil, etc.) is heating up causing it to fail intermitently, look on ebay for ignition module it is located under the distributor cap.

2000 Hyundai Elantra dies when accelerator is pressed. Car starts fine. Car idles fine. If you try to rev up the engine it dies. I cleaned spark plugs and MAF, but no help.

sounds like a fuel issue / carb or fuel injection problem.

I do not know what could have caused this but when i lock my car... ... lock yourdoors with your key fob(might have to hit the lock button twice) ... Sounds like your fuel pump is going out. Perform a fuel pressure test make sure it is holding fuel pressure

Also have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra. Interesting same thing has gone wrong with mine within two months of yours. Get the crankshaft position sensor replaced. Maybe these just wear out in time. The car will start one day and the next day it will not. It was a puzzle until the check engine light came on this last time. I actually cheered because it meant the computer would register a problem. It cost $220 for parts and labor at the dealership. It's worth it or it will continue to leave you stranded at various times without warning. Since replaced I have noticed my car engine seems to be running better that I didn't notice was off before. Car has been fine so far.

Car dies going down the highway after about 20 miles then starts back and dies again some times it starts right away sometimes after 5/6 tries always restarts???? no code some times when it starts dieing...

Had this happen with a Honda Accord: carb icing.
You do not have a carb.
Had this happen with a newer Honda, bad ignition switch. It was intermittent. $24 and one hour fixed it.
